Report: Iran missiles can now hit targets at 2,000 km range

Commander of Aerospace Force of the Iranian Revolutionary Guards Brigadier General Amir Ali Hajizadeh says if attacked Iran can retaliate by targeting American aircraft carriers.

By Amos Harel Tags: Iran Iran threat
Iran launched two long-range missiles into the Indian Ocean in February, Iranian news agencies reported yesterday, quoting as their source the commander of the Aerospace Force of the Iranian Revolutionary Guards.
The commander, Brigadier General Amir Ali Hajizadeh, said that if Iran is attacked, it can retaliate by targeting American aircraft carriers in the region, which he described as “moving targets.” Hajizadeh said the launch test included firing two missiles from the Semnan province in the north of the country. He said American spy planes were operating in the area, but “curiously didn’t report that.”

Iran has claimed for some time that it has rockets with a range of 2,000 km. but a statement on their actual launch for such a distance is unusual, as is the choice of direction − toward the Indian Ocean.
Israeli missiles expert Uzi Rubin told Haaretz that launching a missile into the ocean at such a distance shows the Iranians’ ability to chart the course of the missiles and pinpoint the landing location. He said this was a breakthrough that would allow the Iranians to go on increasing the range of their missiles, if they so desire.
“This is the first tangible evidence that the Iranian Shihab 3 missile can actually reach that range,” said Rubin, former head of Israel’s Wall ‏(Homa‏) missile defense program. He said such a range would allow Iranians to hit targets not only in the Persian Gulf and in Israel, but also in Europe.

20 “But when you see Jerusalem surrounded by armies, then know that its desolation is near. 21 Then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains, let those who are in the midst of her depart, and let not those who are in the country enter her. 22 For these are the days of vengeance, that all things which are written may be fulfilled. 23 But woe to those who are pregnant and to those who are nursing babies in those days! For there will be great distress in the land and wrath upon this people. 24 And they will fall by the edge of the sword, and be led away captive into all nations. And Jerusalem will be trampled by Gentiles until the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled.

TEHRAN | Wed Jun 29, 2011 1:31pm IST
(Reuters) - Iran has tested a new radar system, a military commander said on Wednesday, as part of a show of strength it hopes will warn Israel and the United States against any attack. On day three of a 10-day military exercise, Amir Ali Hajizadeh, head of the Revolutionary Guards' aerospace division, said the new radar system, called Ghadir, was used for the first time.
"The Ghadir radar has been designed and built to detect airborne targets, radar-evading planes, cruise and ballistic missiles and low-orbit satellites," he was quoted as saying by the student news agency ISNA.
The radar has a range of 1,100 km (680 miles) and a height of 300 km (190 miles), he said.

Elam/Iran in the Latter-Days
Jeremiah 49:38 And I will set my throne in Elam, and will destroy from thence the king and the princes, saith the LORD.
Introduction
I first published this article in August 2010.
Update: Russia: Iran Bushehr nuke plant likely running by August 06/27/11 It is coming down to the wire with Iran's nuclear reactor. How long will Israel allow Iran to use the reactor before Israel attempts to destroy it? This reactor sits on top of powerful earthquake zone, so maybe the Holy God of Israel will destroy it with an earthquake.Something has to happen quickly with this reactor.
"Iran's Russian-built nuclear power plant is likely to become fully operational in early August, Russian news agencies quoted a senior diplomat as saying on Monday. Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov said the plant, which Russia has built near the Persian Gulf city of Bushehr in a $1 billion deal dating back to the 1990s, is finished and can begin providing electricity soon, state-run RIA reported."
A second warning was issued to the extreme danger of the Bushehr nuclear reactor. It is in a very earthquake prone area and could end up like the Fukushima reactor in Japan. I added an earthquake map, so you can see the reactor sits in an intense quake zone.  Iran ignores earthquake warning at nuclear plant 05/23/11 "The Daily Telegraph report warned that the "seismic danger to Iran" and the reactor could create a disaster scene similar to that of Fukushima, Japan, the site of a Japanese reactor that was crippled after March's tsunami hit. Iran lies on one of the world's most unstable earthquake zones."
This is the first warning that I posted: Saudi Arabia: Second Fukushima if Iranian Bushehr activated in May 04/12/11 "Saudi and Kuwait officials have warned the US that if Iran activates its first nuclear reactor at Bushehr in May as planned, there is a good chance it will blow up and the entire Gulf region suffer a nuclear disaster on  the scale of the misfortune at Japan's Fukushima and expose millions to radiation contamination."
According to the Bible as the Day of the LORD approaches, something drastic is going to happen to drive the people out of this section of Iran. I think that it is possible the Bushehr nuclear reactor will melt down like the Fukushima nuclear plant in Japan and cause a mass exodus from this area of Iran. Saudi Arabia is warning this might happen!
Teaching
Elam is an ancient geographical location mentioned in the Bible. Today its location would be mainly in Iran with a small section in Iraq. It bordered with the ancient Babylonian Empire. The actual location of Elam would be the very northern end of the Persian Gulf and down along with the west coast of Iran. Today one of the main sections of ancient Elam would include Bushehr Province with the capital city of Bushehr. On a map of the Persian Gulf, Bushehr would be directly across from Kuwait.
                        Elam is in Red

Bushehr is very important today because it is the location of Iran’s nuclear facility and has the attention of the world. Thus, the physical location of ancient Elam is critical today.
It is feared that Iran would use this plant to help build nuclear weapons to destroy Israel and threaten other nations. Israel has stated that it will not allow Iran to become a nuclear power, and it is very possible Israel will attack Iran to destroy this nuclear complex at Bushehr. It is also possible that World War 3 could start over the Bushehr nuclear plant. Thus, ancient Elam has become a focal point in dealing with Israel and fits directly into God’s prophetic plan as the world heads toward the day of the LORD.
 Modern Location of Bushehr
In the Bible, the word Elam seldom appears. The name was derived from Noah’s grandson from Shem (Genesis 10:22). In Genesis 14, a battle is recorded between Abraham and a confederation of Kings. Chedorlaomer was listed as the king of Elam and part of the battle. In Isaiah 11:11, Elam is listed as one of the locations the Jews will return from just prior to the Second Coming of the Lord Jesus. In Daniel 8, the prophet was in Elam.

Iran unveils underground missile silos Iran continues to defy the West

Peacekeeper missile is ejected from silo.Image via WikipediaBe sure to see the link for the full article below.
http://www.usatoday.com/news/world/2011-06-27-Iran-nuclear-missile-silos_n.htm
TEHRAN, Iran (AP) — Iran on Monday unveiled underground missile silos for the first time as it kicked off 10 days of large-scale war games, the country's latest show of military force amid a standoff with the West over its disputed nuclear program.
State TV broadcast footage of deep underground silos, claiming that medium- and long-range missiles stored in them are ready to launch in case of an attack on Iran. The sites are widely viewed as a strategic asset for Iran to launch a strike in the event of a U.S. or Israeli attack on its nuclear facilities.
Col. Asghar Qelichkhani, a spokesman for the war games, said the silos "function as a swift-reaction unit."
"Missiles, which are permanently in the vertical position, are ready to hit the pre-determined targets," he was quoted as saying by state TV.
An officer in Iran's powerful Revolutionary Guard, which is in charge of the missile program, said Tehran has constructed "numerous" underground missile silos which satellites can't detect. He did not elaborate.
The state television report broadcast footage of underground launching pads for the Shahab-3 missile, which have a range of more than 1,240 miles — putting Israel, U.S. bases in the Gulf region and parts of southeastern and eastern Europe within reach.
The report also showed pictures of missiles being fired from one silo after a large metal roof opened to allow the missile to launch. The TV report said the missile silos are linked to a missile control center.
Another unidentified Guards officer told state TV that "only few countries in the world possess the technology to construct underground missile silos. The technology required for that is no less complicated than building the missile itself."
Israel has accused Iran of receiving assistance from North Korea in building underground missile sites.

The Obama administration notified Congress on Wednesday that it plans to sell up to $60 billion in advanced weaponry to Saudi Arabia in one of the largest-ever single U.S. arms sales, a deal intended to counter the rising influence of Iran.
State Department and Pentagon officials told lawmakers that the sales that will include 84 new F-15 fighter jets, upgrades to 70 existing Saudi F-15s, 190 helicopters and a wide array of missiles, bombs and delivery systems, as well as accessories such as night-vision goggles and radar warning systems. The sale, first revealed in September, has been in the works for months and is designed to strengthen the defense forces of Saudi Arabia, a longtime U.S. ally, and counter Iran as a regional power in the Persian Gulf. "This proposed sale has tremendous significance from a strategic regional perspective," said Andrew Shapiro, the assistant secretary of state for political and military affairs who announced the deal. "It will send a strong message to countries in the region that we are committed to support the security of our key partners and allies in the Arabian Gulf and broader Middle East," Shapiro told reporters. "And it will enhance Saudi Arabia's ability to deter and defend against threats to its borders and to its oil infrastructure, which is critical to our economic interests."

Obama Warns World Leaders 'Millions Could Die' From Gulf Oil Disaster

  • At first glance when I saw this I just said, Yeah Right! But, after reading through it all, this really isn't that far fetched at all.
There are some major toxins coming up out of this. If for some reason it isn't stopped. We may see worse than this.
Take the time check out all these links for yourselves. If I was to add them all it would become an entire book..

  • A sobering report circulating in the Kremlin today from President Medvedev's meeting with other World leaders at the G8 summit in Muskoka, Ontario states that President Obama has warned his counterparts that the Gulf of Mexico oil disaster "will most likely kill millions, perhaps tens of millions" of people during the coming year.
Fueling Obama's dire assessment of this "Gulf Apocalypse", this report says, are the oil and toxic rains now being reported to be falling throughout the US Gulf Coast region due to the fracturing of the Gulf of Mexico seafloor allowing untold millions of gallons of oil and millions of cubic feet of methane gas to escape unchecked into our World's seventh largest body of water, not to mention the millions of gallons of dangerous disbursements being used that is poisoning everything in its path.

Gulf Oil Spill Information for Pregnant Women

  • read more on www.bt.cdc.gov

I'm pregnant. Can the oil harm me or my unborn baby?

Although the oil may contain some chemicals that could cause harm to an unborn baby under some conditions, the CDC has reviewed sampling data from the EPA and feels that the levels of these chemicals are well below the level that could generally cause harm to pregnant women or their unborn babies. The effects that chemicals might have on a pregnant woman and her unborn baby would depend on many things: how the mother came into contact with the oil, how long she was in contact with it, how often she came into contact with it, and the overall health of the mother and her baby.
People, including pregnant women, can be exposed to these chemicals by breathing them (air), by swallowing them (water, food), or by touching them (skin). If possible, everyone, including pregnant women, should avoid the oil and spill-affected areas. Generally, a pregnant woman will see or smell the chemicals in oil before those chemicals can hurt her or the baby. The EPA and CDC are working together to continue monitoring the levels of oil in the environment. If we begin to find levels that are more likely to be harmful, we will tell the public. For up-to-date information on monitoring data along the Gulf Coast, please visit EPA's website.

  • Important to note about in this report is that Obama's warning that "millions could die" from this disaster has been further confirmed by the American engineer who helped lead the team to put out the Persian Gulf oil fires set by Saddam Hussein in the first Iraq war and had warned a full 12 months before the April sinking of the Deepwater Horizon that BP was drilling into a huge methane deposit that if released would be beyond catastrophic, it would be biblical in its scale of destruction.

  • Gulf oil spill: Undersea oil masses confirmed in tests

    June 21, 2010 | 11:33 am
The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration on Monday released new data from the agency's latest research trip through the Gulf of Mexico, showing concentrations of oil below the surface at more than 3,600 feet below the surface, about 7.5 nautical miles southwest of the BP's blown-out well.
The Thomas Jefferson research ship found evidence of depleted oxygen, a potential sign of microbes digesting oil, in the area. Acoustic and fluorometric instruments likewise indicated the presence of oil. Water samples taken on the trip have not been analyzed.
Since the leak began April 20, attention has been focused on surface oil washing up on environmentally fragile shoreline ecosystems. But "plumes" or "clouds" of oil hovering in the water column below the surface, where myriad marine life eat, breed and swim, has as much or more potential to cause ecological damage to the Gulf, scientists have warned.
The first evidence of undersea concentrations of oil was revealed by University of South Florida scientists, and was subsequently confirmed by NOAA. Monday's results generally coincide with previous data.

  • Not being explained to the American people about NOAA's findings is that the live video feed of this spill being shown to them of this spill contains oil and methane gas being expelled at pressures estimated to be at 100,000 pounds per square inch (psi) and cannot in any way being associated with the massive underwater oil plumes found by the Thomas Jefferson nearly 8 kilometers away.

  • Each day, another way to define worst-case for oil spill

  • "We're going to have to evacuate the gulf states," said Matt Simmons, founder of Simmons and Co., an oil investment firm and, since the April 20 blowout, the unflagging source of end-of-the-world predictions. "Can you imagine evacuating 20 million people? . . . This story is 80 times worse than I thought."

  • read more on www.youtube.com

  • To the greatest consequence of this catastrophe upon the American people, an FSB appendix to this report warns that the US Soldiers currently deployed throughout their island territory of Puerto Rico are in fact being trained in how to "suppress and contain" large concentrations of people and being "recycled" to military bases throughout the State of Florida where they will soon be joined by an estimated 28,000 NATO allied troops where both will join up with an estimated 7,000 pre-positioned UN marked vehicles for purposes "still not known or clearly stated by the US".

  • what they aren't willing to find out for themselves, is going to kill them.  Just like all of those who cleaned up the1989 Exxon Valdez spill disaster, ALMOST ALL OF WHOM ARE NOW DEAD.

  • Take the time check out all these links for yourselves. If I was to add them all it would become an entire book..

As unconfirmed reports of an imminent Israeli strike on Iran's nuclear facilities pick up steam in the Middle Eastern media, a US-based strategic intelligence company has released a chart showing US naval carriers massing near Iranian waters.
The chart, published by Stratfor and obtained by the Zero Hedge financial blog, shows that over the last few weeks a naval carrier -- the USS Harry S Truman -- has been positioned in the north Indian Ocean, not far from the Strait of Hormuz, which leads into the Persian Gulf. The carrier joins the USS Dwight D. Eisenhower, which was already located in the area. The chart is dated June 23, 2010.

An article in the Gulf Daily News, largely dismissed by Western observers, did not mention any Saudi involvement but said Israel is preparing to attack Iranian targets from the former Soviet republics of Azerbaijan and Georgia.
The claims that Israel may be preparing for an assault on Iranian nuclear facilities were strengthened this weekend by Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi, who told reporters at the G8 summit in Canada that G8 leaders "believe absolutely" that Israel will "probably" strike Iran.
"Iran is not guaranteeing a peaceful production of nuclear power [so] the members of the G8 are worried and believe absolutely that Israel will probably react preemptively," Berlusconi said, as quoted at Ha'aretz.

In a rare move, Iran has declared a state of war on its northwestern border, debkafile's military and Iranian sources report. Iranian Revolutionary Guards Corps men and equipment units are being massed in the Caspian Sea region against what Tehran claims are US and Israeli forces concentrated on army and air bases in Azerbaijan ready to strike Iran's nuclear facilities.
The announcement came on Tuesday, June 22 from Brig.-Gen Mehdi Moini of the Revolutionary Guards (IRGC), commander of the forces tasked with "repelling" this American-Israeli offensive. He said: "The mobilization is due to the presence of American and Israeli forces on the western border," adding, "Reinforcements are being dispatched to West Azerbaijan Province because some western countries are fueling ethnic conflicts to destabilize the situation in the region."

    1.  A certain (limited) reinforcement of American and Israeli forces has taken place in Azerbaijan. Neither Washington nor Jerusalem has ever acknowledged a military presence in this country that borders on Iran, but Western intelligence sources say that both keep a wary eye on the goings-on inside Iran from electronic surveillance bases in that country.
    2.  Iran feels moved to respond to certain US steps: The arrival of the USS Harry S. Truman Strike Group in the Persian Gulf and the Arabian Sea and its war games with France and Israel, which included live-fire bombing practices against targets in Iran.

Iran to retaliate if planes, ships inspected: speaker

clipped from news.xinhuanet.com
TEHRAN, June 16 (Xinhua) -- Iran's Majlis (Parliament) Speaker Ali Larijani warned the West and certain countries with retaliation if they try to inspect Iranian planes and ships following last week's UN Security Council sanctions resolution against Tehran, the English language satellite Press TV reported on Wednesday.
"I am warning the U.S. and certain adventurous countries that in case they plan to inspect the cargo of Iranian ships and planes, they should rest assured that we will do the same in the Persian Gulf and the Sea of Oman (with their ships)," Larijani was quoted as saying.
"This retaliation would be part of our policy to protect our national interests," Larijani added.
The new round of the UN Security Council sanctions resolution, adopted against Iran last Wednesday over its controversial nuclear program, aims to restrict the country's shipping and air cargo operations.

Israel stations nuclear missile subs off Iran

United States Trident II (D-5) missile underwa...Image via Wikipedia

With one side hell bent to try and destroy such a small nation, and a tiny nation willing to stand up for it's own protection. You would think more of the Governments world wide would do more to help. But instead it seems they would rather watch a full blown Nuclear attack be unleashed. It may be much closer than some would like to think about.

Three German-built Israeli submarines equipped with nuclear cruise missiles are to be deployed in the Gulf near the Iranian coastline.

The first has been sent in response to Israeli fears that ballistic missiles developed by Iran, Syria and Hezbollah, a political and military organisation in Lebanon, could hit sites in Israel, including air bases and missile launchers.

The submarines of Flotilla 7 — Dolphin, Tekuma and Leviathan — have visited the Gulf before. But the decision has now been taken to ensure a permanent presence of at least one of the vessels.

The submarines could be used if Iran continues its programme to produce a nuclear bomb. “The 1,500km range of the submarines’ cruise missiles can reach any target in Iran,” said a navy officer.

Apparently responding to the Israeli activity, an Iranian admiral said: “Anyone who wishes to do an evil act in the Persian Gulf will receive a forceful response from us.”

Obama starts massive US Air-Sea-Marine build-up opposite Iran

clipped from www.debka.com
debkafile's military sources report a decision by the Obama administration to boost US military strength in the Mediterranean and Persian Gulf regions in the short term with an extra air and naval strike forces and 6,000 Marine and sea combatants. Carrier Strike Group 10, headed by the USS Harry S. Truman aircraft carrier, sails out of the US Navy base at Norfolk, Virginia Friday, May 21. On arrival, it will raise the number of US carriers off Iranian shores to two. Up until now, President Barack Obama kept just one aircraft carrier stationed off the coast of Iran, the USS Dwight D. Eisenhower in the Arabian Sea, in pursuit of his policy of diplomatic engagement with Tehran.
It is also the first time that Obama, since taking office 14 months ago, is sending military reinforcements to the Persian Gulf. Our military sources have learned that the USS Truman is just the first element of the new buildup of US resources around Iran. It will take place over the next three months
