Forgiveness; A Frog's Opinion

A great post from a good friend of mine. I felt this is something a lot of us may go through. Be sure to check out his link below for more.

http://froggy213.hubpages.com/hub/Forgiveness-A-Frogs-Opinion
I would be willing to gamble that I am stepping into a subject that may hurt some feelings, bring up past mistakes and/or cause pain. It is not my intent to cause strife. I write this hub for my own therapy, as forgiveness has been a very strong issue in my life. I think it is probably an issue in many lives. How is it we can forgive those who have wronged us in such terrible ways like: murder, rape, child molestation, and many other crimes. How about those smaller things? A cheater, a lie, maybe a stolen item or a family member who has done you wrong? How do we forgive?
I have been on both sides of the fence. Let's take a look:
These are some of the occurrences that I have had issues with forgiveness on.
What about the things I need forgiveness for?
See more at this link.

This is a CLASSIC example of how, in cities like Denver where the politicians have promoted sanctuary city policies, illegal aliens are given more rights than citizens.

Somali Christian Killed

clipped from www.persecution.com

On May 4, members of the Islamic extremist group al-Shabaab killed an underground church leader in Xarardheere, Mudug region, Somalia, according to Compass Direct News.

The extremists, who were battling a rival rebel group for control of the area, were searching house to house for enemy fighters when they arrived at the home of 57-year-old Yusuf Ali Nur, a school teacher and underground church leader. They suspected that Yusuf was a Christian, so they shot him multiple times at close range, killing him. Yusuf is survived by his wife and three children, ages 7, 9 and 11.

Al-Shabaab, which is linked with al-Qaeda, has reportedly vowed to rid Somalia of Christianity. In recent months, several Somali Christians have been killed by the group in execution-style murders, including one murder as recently as late March.
The Voice of the Martyrs encourages you to pray that Yusuf’s loved ones will trust in God’s unfailing love.

Teen gets 40 years in Border Patrol agent's death

clipped from www.azcentral.com

SAN DIEGO - A 17-year-old Mexican youth was sentenced Thursday to 40 years in prison for the murder of a U.S. Border Patrol agent who was shot repeatedly during a robbery attempt.
Christian Daniel Castro Alvarez sat silently with his head down throughout the sentencing by U.S. District Judge M. James Lorenz in San Diego.

Castro pleaded guilty in November to murdering a federal officer near Campo, a mountainous area about 60 miles east of San Diego. He told authorities that he and others were attempting to rob the agent, Robert Rosas.

The courtroom was packed with uniformed Border Patrol agents as the judge read a letter written by the defendant apologizing to the family of the 30-year-old Rosas.

Rosas was shot several times in the head, from behind and while lying on the ground. Castro's attorney had argued that two accomplices now in Mexico fired the fatal shots.

A probation officer had urged a life sentence for Castro. Federal guidelines call for a minimum sentence of 30 years.

Death penalty returns in Taiwan, Four executed

http://news-updations.blogspot.com/
TAIPEI (Reuters) - Taiwan executed 4 people on Friday, the justice ministry said, in the island's first cases of capital punishment since 2005 when the sentence became a sensitive political issue.
4 inmates convicted of crimes connected to a murder case were executed late on Friday, the ministry said in a statement, following years of fractious debate that saw the ministry's chief quit last month in protest.
"The justice ministry gave death penalty orders to the 4 people on April 28 and the order was carried out on April 30," the one-line statement said.
Ex- Justice Minister Wang Ching-feng and Amnesty International have urged Taiwan President Ma Ying-jeou to scrap the death penalty.
Abolition of the law, which is widely supported, might hurt the government ahead of November local polls. A further 40 inmates remain on death row, the ministry said on Friday. Around 500 inmates were executed between 1987 and 2005.

Mexico's drug war takes growing toll on Americans

North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) Lo...Image via Wikipedia

MEXICO CITY -- More Americans in Mexico are falling victim to a wave of drug violence sweeping the country, a change driven home by the recent killing of a U.S. Consulate employee and her husband who were gunned down after leaving a children's birthday party.

The number of U.S. citizens killed in Mexico has more than doubled to 79 in 2009 from 35 in 2007, according to the U.S. State Department's annual count. No figures were available for the first two months of 2010.

While only some of the killings are specifically listed as "executions" or "drug-related," the increase in homicides appears to be related to drug battles. In Ciudad Juarez, the northern border city hardest hit by drug violence and where the consulate employee was killed, homicides of Americans rose to 23 in 2009 from two in 2007.

The annual murder rate for the estimated 500,000 American citizens in Mexico at any one time has risen - but still remains lower than in some U.S. cities

'Jihad Jane' indictment shows terror's evolution

ADDS ID OF SWEDE CARTOONIST LARS VILK AND CLARIFIES THAT LAROSE WAS ACCUSED OF

PHILADELPHIA – The self-described "Jihad Jane" who thought her blond hair and blue eyes would let her blend in as she sought to kill an artist in Sweden is a rare case of an American woman aiding in foreign terrorism and shows the evolution of the global threat, authorities say.

The suburban Philadelphia woman, Colleen R. LaRose, is accused in the indictment filed Tuesday of trying to recruit fighters, as well as agreeing to murder the artist, marry a terrorism suspect so he could move to Europe and martyr herself if necessary.

LaRose is "one of only a few such cases nationwide in which females have been charged with terrorism violations," said U.S. Department of Justice spokesman Dean Boyd.

LaRose, 46, of Pennsburg but with close ties to south Texas, has been held without bail since her Oct. 15 arrest in Philadelphia.

"She never talked about international events, about Muslims, anything," he told the newspaper. "It's very strange. I still can't believe it."

clipped from www.worthynews.com
WASHINGTON, USA (Worthy News)-- A religious liberty group warned Saturday, February 6, that "Anti-Christian hostility is getting increasingly deadly" in the United States after two street preachers were shot and killed by a teenager who apparently opposed their message.
"The increasing demonization of Christians in our culture makes some feel its open season on Christians," said Gary Cass of the Christian Anti-Defamation Commission.
"They witnessed to Woody for fifteen minutes when he got a phone call and told the preachers he 'had to go', added the Commission, which closely monitored the case.
"As they walked away, Woody suddenly started walking back toward them. Sufra walked up to greet him and was killed with a shot gun blast at point blank range. When Ocean ran, he was shot in the back. After he fell, Woodyshot him in the head execution style."Stephen Ocean was shot in the street near the Boynton Beach city library.
Woody was detained Wednesday, February 3, and is charged with two counts of first-degree murder. Bail was reportedly denied to him.
