IS TRUMP ALREADY SENDING THE ‘FEDS’ INTO CHICAGO?

I’m so impressed with our new President… he’s actually doing what he promised. Bringing in the Feds to combat the Chicago gang killings is a no brainer and should have most certainly been done years ago.
The people of Chicago deserve peace and safety, the democrats were not willing to give them either.
The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives is looking to send 20 more agents to Chicago, just a week after President Donald Trump tweeted he would ‘send in the Feds’ to the city to curb surging gun violence.
The new team will be called the ‘Chicago Crime Guns Strike Force.’

Mayor Rahm Emanuel’s office said he hadn’t been told about the move, but welcomed the extra federal resources he has asked the president for.

He also wants more DEA and FBI agents on the ground in a bid to combat the problems with violence that have crippled the city in recent years.
Currently, there are 40 agents in the city according to CNN.

Twenty more ATF agents on their way to Chicago

Reports of the ATF sending more agents came as a surprise to some in City Hall.
“We first heard about this on CNN,” a City Hall source said.
A spokesman for the Chicago Police Department also could not provide details about the agents.
Sources within the ATF in Chicago welcome a move to hire additional permanent agents here, but they warn that must come with more aggressive prosecution of gun cases on the federal and state levels.
Last year, the Chicago Sun-Times reported that federal gun prosecutions in Chicago lagged other cities including Baltimore, Detroit, Milwaukee, Brooklyn and Manhattan between 2011 and 2016.

Forgiveness; A Frog's Opinion

A great post from a good friend of mine. I felt this is something a lot of us may go through. Be sure to check out his link below for more.

http://froggy213.hubpages.com/hub/Forgiveness-A-Frogs-Opinion
I would be willing to gamble that I am stepping into a subject that may hurt some feelings, bring up past mistakes and/or cause pain. It is not my intent to cause strife. I write this hub for my own therapy, as forgiveness has been a very strong issue in my life. I think it is probably an issue in many lives. How is it we can forgive those who have wronged us in such terrible ways like: murder, rape, child molestation, and many other crimes. How about those smaller things? A cheater, a lie, maybe a stolen item or a family member who has done you wrong? How do we forgive?
I have been on both sides of the fence. Let's take a look:
These are some of the occurrences that I have had issues with forgiveness on.
What about the things I need forgiveness for?

Senators Want To Put People In Jail For Embedding YouTube Videos | Techdirt

Newspaper advert: "United States and Fore...Image via WikipediaFor those who love to share the Truth and keep others updated this could very well be a way to stop all that. This bill is for one reason only. To keep people misinformed and to keep them from not seeing the real news and events around the world. If it's not be be embedded just click on the don't embed button. Other than that leave it alone.

Okay, this is just getting ridiculous. A few weeks back, we noted that Senators Amy Klobuchar, John Cornyn and Christopher Coons had proposed a new bill that was designed to make "streaming" infringing material a felony. At the time, the actual text of the bill wasn't available, but we assumed, naturally, that it would just extend "public performance" rights to section 506a of the Copyright Act.

Supporters of this bill claim that all it's really doing is harmonizing US copyright law's civil and criminal sections. After all, the rights afforded under copyright law in civil cases cover a list of rights: reproduce, distribute, prepare derivative works or perform the work. The rules for criminal infringement only cover reproducing and distributing -- but not performing. So, supporters claim, all this does is "harmonize" copyright law and bring the criminal side into line with the civil side by adding "performance rights" to the list of things.

If only it were that simple. But, of course, it's not. First of all, despite claims to the contrary, there's a damn good reason why Congress did not include performance rights as a criminal/felony issue: because who would have thought that it would be a criminal act to perform a work without permission? It could be infringing, but that can be covered by a fine. When we suddenly criminalize a performance, that raises all sorts of questionable issues.

Furthermore, as we suspected, in the full text of the bill, "performance" is not clearly defined. This is the really troubling part. Everyone keeps insisting that this is targeted towards "streaming" websites, but is streaming a "performance"? If so, how does embedding play into this? Is the site that hosts the content guilty of performing? What about the site that merely linked to and/or embedded the video (linking and embedding are technically effectively the same thing). Without clear definitions, we run into problems pretty quickly.

iPhone Armed With Facial Recognition App Lets Cops ID Perps on the Street

clipped from www.popsci.com

MORIS at Work Cops who need to ID a suspect simply snap a photo on their iPhones. A statewide database being developed in Massachusetts can match up faces with criminal records in a matter of seconds remotely, beaming a rap sheet back to cops on the beat.

Law officers in Brockton, Mass., have a new tool for fighting crime: the iPhone. Using a new app armed with facial recognition software linked to a statewide database, cops can snap a picture of a suspect in the field and within seconds pull up that person's identity on the device.
The system, known as MORIS (Mobile Offender Recognition and Identification System), will allow officers out on the road to identify those people who already have their face -- and, if applicable, their criminal history -- in the police database. It will initially be used by Brockton's gang unit, but will eventually be deployed statewide.
CoP says the system will only be used when the police are actively searching for a suspec

Apr. 28, 2010 - Arizona SB 1070: Gov. Brewer on "On The Record"

Grand Canyon, Arizona. The canyon, created by ...Image via Wikipedia

Know the truth. Our own Government does absolutely nothing to secure the borders of Arizona. With the drug trafficking and cartel, Kidnappings, child laboring, and all out crime that comes from these borders. It makes a person wonder exactly what they are up to in Washington D.C. Are they just expecting the individual states to not protect their own? The Murder rates down by the border and the land owners down their struggle to keep what they have let alone their own lives.
It really make me wonder if Washington is actually trying to keep the terrorism going here in America. It has nothing to do with Race. But, it does have everything to do protecting the Citizens of the State of Arizona.
It's about time I see a state take it's own action and do what is constitutionally right.
Know the truth. Media and the President either have absolutely no clue, or they are deceivingly up to something that is no good.
This makes me glad I live in AZ.

PositiveID's Latest Human Chip-Implant Scare Story: "Medical Identity Theft"

clipped from industry.bnet.com

When PositiveID (PSID), the company that makes implantable microchips that grant access to patients’ online medical records, acquired the credit monitoring and identity theft company SteelVault, it was never quite clear how the two business would mesh together. Recently, however, PositiveID (formerly known as VeriChip) has indicated that it believes the two business should segue into one another via protection against medical identity theft, which, it claims, accounts for seven percent of all identity theft.

After all, who really wants their online medical records stored in the same place and accessed by the same chips as their credit rating and social security number? The answer is that about 20,000 people have already signed up for PositiveID’s NationalCreditReport.com protection services.
That “7 percent” statistic is interesting. A recent survey by the Ponemon Institute found that only 5.8 percent of ID theft cases involve medical identity theft.
