Ariz. Sheriff: Feds Order Release of Illegals to Phony Up Numbers

ARIZONA BORDERS AND CITIZEN SAFETY...Image by roberthuffstutter via Flickr
http://www.newsmax.com/Headline/LarryDever-BorderPatrol-Immigration-Arizona/2011/05/06/id/395500?s=al

The U.S. Border Patrol has told its agents to stop arresting illegal  aliens crossing the border from Mexico to keep the illegal immigration  numbers down, Arizona Sheriff Larry Dever tells Newsmax.

He also charges that Attorney General Eric Holder is “holding hands with  the ACLU” to protect illegal aliens from prosecution, says illegals are  committing “heinous crimes” across America every day, and calls claims  that the federal government should be solely responsible for controlling  illegal immigration “balderdash.”

Dever is sheriff of Cochise County, which shares an 83-mile border with  Mexico, and he says his Border Patrol sector is responsible for half of  all illegal aliens caught trying to enter the country and halt the  narcotics entering the United States.

Story continues below video.

In an exclusive interview with Newsmax.TV, he was asked about the Obama  administration’s bragging that the border is more secure than ever.

“For the secretary of homeland security to say the border is more secure  than ever, well, I’ve been there forever and there was a happier time  than what it is today. We have a long, long way to go.

“Don’t drink the Kool-Aid and buy into 'this border is secure' nonsense.

“There’s a bad element in the mix of the aliens that are crossing that  border and they don’t stay there, they move into communities throughout  the country. And every day there are travesties and heinous crimes being  committed by those people. If we don’t stop it at the border, it’s just  going to continue to grow.”

Dever recently told Congress that in one district in Texas, illegals are  allowed to be caught crossing the border 14 times before being charged  with a felony, and federal smuggling charges are not considered unless  at least six illegal aliens are being smuggled into the country.

“It doesn’t surprise me because we’ve been seeing that every day in  Arizona, with artificial thresholds for narcotics, for human smuggling,”  he tells Newsmax.

“For that to be issued as a written solid order, it’s outrageous.”

He also explains how he has heard that the Border Patrol has told  officers to stop arresting Mexican illegals to keep official illegal  immigration figures down.

“That comes from agents on the ground, who have told me, told my deputies, told citizens in the area.

“They have in the past been instructed to scare people back or turn them back south versus arresting them.”

Border Patrol Chief Michael Fisher’s has denied that agents have been  told not to arrest Mexican illegals. Dever responds: “I tend to believe  there is no written order to that effect. But if your agents on the  ground have that perception and that understanding, then you need to go  back and change it.

“If they’re lying, shame on them, and shame on me for bringing it up.  But frankly, my staff, when they heard this, they said what’s the big  deal? We’ve been hearing this forever. And people who live in my county  say the same things.

“So something’s going on and it needs to be rectified and fixed so these people are brought to justice.”

Dever tells Newsmax that the Mexican drug cartels are freely operating many miles from the U.S.-Mexican border.

“You can go up to 70 miles north in Pinal County, which isn’t even a  border county, and the Bureau of Land Management put up signs on public  land warning people not to travel there because of the threat from drug  cartels.

“If you travel into the recreational areas in my county, those same  signs are up warning people they could encounter drug and human  smuggling. I think we ought to point the signs south and tell the folks  who are coming here that this is not a safe place for you to come.”

Flags and tags on the border fence cause a flap | KVOA.com | Tucson, Arizona

http://www.kvoa.com/news/flags-and-tags-on-the-border-fence-cause-a-flap

COCHISE COUNTY - There is a section of the border fence where thousands of American flags flap in the wind outside of Sierra Vista.
But there's also a small hand written note attached to each of the flags and that causing quite a flap with a long time Southern Arizona activist and the U.S Border Patrol.
The U.S. Border Patrol says the messages need to be removed.
"We have over 10,000 petitions signed by American citizens saying enforce the law," says Glenn Spencer of the American Border Patrol, a border watch group.
"They were sent in individually, mailed to us, by our supporters," he said.
He says his supporters are petitioning the government because they don't like what's happening on the border. They want to see more fence along the border and a double fence.

Latin American Herald Tribune - Over 200,000 People Leave Mexican Border City Due to Violence

Counties along the Mexico-United States borderImage via Wikipedia As border concerns are being raised on a Daily basis now. The News Media tends to ignore the real reasons behind Arizona's now SP1070 bill. The violence as you can see in this article below. (Click on the link to read the full Story). This is not just in Mexico. It is being spread into all the Border States as well. Including California. Though CA seems to try to ignore this situation. Being born and raised there, I've seen it all first hand.
Now that I'm living in Arizona. I can see so much more happening here as well. As Obama and his followers constantly try to make this into a racial issue. It only goes to show how ignorant, the people and the News Media have become. If you are still insisting that all this is about Race, I would suggest you start doing your homework beginning with this article.
The border issue and building a fence to block this from entering onto America soil is a MAJOR issue and the real reasons behind SP1070.
If you still think it's about Race. I would suggest coming to Arizona yourself, Take a very good and long look at the majority of people who live here. To be racial by law in Arizona is literally impossible people, quit spreading around lies.
While the SEIU is pushing the Racial issues and trying to get more voters to vote for what they want. People are falling for this everywhere.
Take a look at who is actually pushing these issues.

Take a good look at the violence being stirred up by Drug Cartels and the very real Terrorist that are entering our borders. Not just Arizona, But California, New Mexico and Texas and throughout the entire United States from there.
It's time to wake up to the truth.

Over 200,000 People Leave Mexican Border City Due to Violence
CIUDAD JUAREZ, Mexico – Some 230,000 people have left Ciudad Juarez, a border city that has become Mexico’s murder capital, in the past three years as the death toll from a gang war topped 7,000, a non-governmental organization said in a new report.
About 124,000 people, or 53.9 percent of the total, have sought safe haven in El Paso, Texas, which is just across the border, the Ciudad Juarez Citizens Security and Coexistence Observatory said.
The rest have returned to their hometowns, mainly in Durango, Coahuila and Veracruz states, to get away from the drug-related violence.
“Action should be taken immediately” to keep the crime and violence from leading to a “loss of economic dynamism and, in turn, a continuing reproduction of violence and crime as a result of unemployment,” the report’s authors, Ramon Chavira and Wilebaldo Martinez, said.
The two Autonomous University of Ciudad Juarez, or UACJ, professors used National Institute of Statistics, Geography and Informatics, or INEGI, figures, as well as interviews with emigrants’ families, to come up with the population trend figures for the border city.
Ciudad Juarez is the scene of a war for control of smuggling routes between the Juarez and Sinaloa drug cartels.
The border city, where more than 2,000 people have been murdered this year, has been plagued by drug-related violence for years.
More than 20,000 houses have been abandoned in the border city by people who feared they might become murder, extortion or kidnapping victims, Ciudad Juarez Mayor Jose Reyes Ferriz said.

WASHINGTON – North Carolina Congresswoman Sue Myrick warned Friday that Hezbollah may be colluding with drug cartels on the US-Mexican border, and called on Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano to investigate the matter.

"It is vital we know what is happening on our border, especially as crime and violence continue to rise there and as terrorist plots and threats are increasing inside the US," she wrote.

Myrick said Hezbollah's drug agents undergo Spanish language lessons sponsored by Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez, after which they disguise themselves as Mexican civilians in order to obtain false US entry passes.

She added that the group has experience with tunnel-digging, which may put the US-Mexican border at risk for further infiltration.

The congresswoman, who is a member of the House Intelligence Committee, said members of drug cartels imprisoned in South America have been spotted lately tattooing Persian writing on their bodies, evidence of Iranian involvement.

"Persian influence that can likely be traced back to Iran and its proxy army, Hezbollah," she said.

EL PASO -- Mexican authorities on Saturday found the beginning of a tunnel dug 2 1/2 feet under the Rio Grande that was used to smuggle drugs into the United States, officials said.
The tunnel, about 130 feet long and 2 feet wide and 2 feet high, was traced to a drainage ditch along a highway near the river.
"Once we discovered it, they backtracked it and that's where they found it," U.S. Border Patrol Agent Ramiro Cordero said.

Nogales, Arizona (CNN) -- Mario Morales keeps his Commando assault rifle propped up on the seat of his patrol vehicle. The car snakes along a dirt road about a half-mile from the Mexican border.
He's always kept the rifle within arm's reach. But in recent weeks, staying armed at all times has taken on a new urgency: Mexican cartels have issued death threats against the police on the Nogales force.
His car rolls to a stop. Morales steps out and points to a nearby hillside where a rusty fence cuts through the desert landscape, separating the United States from Mexico.

"This is the first time Nogales police officers have ever been threatened by anyone in drug trafficking," says chief Kirkham. "I take a death threat any time against a police officer -- locally, federally or state -- as very serious."
At one point, while Morales is speaking with CNN, he turns down his radio for a few minutes. The department issues an all-points bulletin for him.
"It's very dangerous. You have to be very careful," he says.
The lifelong resident of Nogales then climbs back into his police car. Dust kicks up along the barren road. The patrols never stop.

Mexican Drug Cartel Warns Police Officers in Arizona Border Town to 'Look the Other Way'

    By Joshua Rhett Miller

    | FOXNews.com

One expert said the threat likely came from the Sinaloa Cartel, which is headed by Joaquin "El Chapo" Guzman-Loera, who is being sought by American and Mexican authorities.
Police officers in a small Arizona border city are on heightened alert following a tip that a Mexican drug cartel will put them in its crosshairs if they conduct off-duty busts.
The threat stems from a marijuana seizure made this month by two off-duty police officers riding on horseback in an unincorporated area east of Nogales, a city of roughly 20,000, Police Chief Jeffrey Kirkham told FoxNews.com.
"The word was that these particular officers would be targeted if they were ever in that area again and were not on duty and intercepted any drug trafficking," Kirkham said. "It said they should look the other way."

Feds Issue Terror Watch for the Texas/Mexico Border

Why should America secure it's borders? Hmmm? Let me count the reasons why. Because they haven't in the past. We could be looking at the many things to make it worse. Here is just one article to show a bit more.

The Department of Homeland Security is alerting Texas authorities to be on the lookout for a suspected member of the Somalia-based Al Shabaab terrorist group who might be attempting to travel to the U.S. through Mexico, a security expert who has seen the memo tells FOXNews.com.

The warning follows an indictment unsealed this month in Texas federal court that accuses a Somali man in Texas of running a “large-scale smuggling enterprise” responsible for bringing hundreds of Somalis from Brazil through South America and eventually across the Mexican border. Many of the illegal immigrants, who court records say were given fake IDs, are alleged to have ties to other now-defunct Somalian terror organizations that have merged with active organizations like Al Shabaab, al-Barakat and Al-Ittihad Al-Islami.

The DHS alert was issued to police and sheriff’s deputies in Houston, asking them to keep their eyes open for a Somali man named Mohamed Ali who is believed to be in Mexico

Obama to send 1,200 troops to US-Mexico border

clipped from news.yahoo.com

WASHINGTON – President Barack Obama will send 1,200 National Guard troops to boost security along the U.S.-Mexico border, officials said Tuesday, pre-empting Republican plans to try to force votes on such a deployment.

Obama will also request $500 million for border protection and law enforcement activities, according to lawmakers and administration officials. The moves come as chances for action on comprehensive immigration reform, Obama's long-stated goal, look increasingly small in this election year. But Obama is under pressure to do something with the issue front and center after Arizona's passage of a tough crackdown law.

Homeland Security and Pentagon officials have been jousting over the possible National Guard deployment for the better part of a year.

Why the borders need to be protected.

Be sure to check out these links below.

This is why AZ and the entire U.S. border must be secured. The first in an eye opening four part series aired in Texas in 2007. We are in peril, and WE MUST SHUT DOWN OUR BOARDERS, OR FACE DIRE CONSEQUENCES....

Islamic terrorists have promised to hit the U.S. with an act of terrorism that will make us forget 911

after which...

Our borders will be shut down by the U.S. Military, with orders like... SHOOT TO KILL.

Somali terrorist believed on Mexican border

Sara Carter:

Somalis with ties to a terrorist organization are believed to be plotting to illegally enter the United States after being mistakenly released from custody in Mexico, a confidential federal law enforcement report said.

The report, obtained by the Washington Examiner, said that 23 Somalis who entered Mexico illegally earlier in the year were caught there, then released in late January.

Only 16 of the 23 people were identified by both Mexican and U.S. law enforcement officials, while the "other 7 are unknown," the report says.

Included in the group is Mohamed Osman Noor, 35, of Somalia, who U.S. officials suspect has strong ties to Al-Shabaab Mujahideen, an Islamist insurgency group in the ongoing war in Somalia with ties to al Qaeda.

What so many seem to not understand lately is this is a very serious matter. It is also the reason Arizona had to do something about it.
See the video below out of Atlanta.

From News channel 2 in Atlanta. Agents in New Mexico and Arizona are catching thousands of OTM's (other than Mexicans). Border patrol and ranchers are finding muslim prayer shaws, muslim jackets with "martyr" patches on them. "There are people who mean to do us harm who cross our borders every day"

Arizona Si, Obama No!

Arizona Si, Obama No!

That’s been the reaction from the racists of La Raza, and a number of other self-proclaimed do-gooders, who claim to be outraged that the good citizens of Arizona have the unmitigated gall to do what their Federal government should be doing for them—protecting them from an alien invasion.

As many of you know, I’m not a huge fan of our government’s response to the Islamofascists who want to kill us. I sometimes suspect we’d be better off without the Department of Homeland Security,

We were also assured that the flood of illegal immigration into this country would be stopped. Congress subsequently approved legislation to build a massive wall along the U.S.-Mexican border and to hire thousands of additional agents for the Border Patrol.

None of this happened. Not a single thing we were promised 24 years ago came true.

This is not immigration. It’s an invasion. And we need to deal with it as such.

This is not just my opinion. It’s what our Constitution says

Mexicali quake forces U.S. officials to close northbound border in Calexico
April 5, 2010 | 7:42 am
The northbound border into Calexico, Calif., from Mexicali, Mexico, remained closed Monday morning because of concerns about damage to the U.S. federal building, but people continued to stream into the U.S. on foot as aftershocks rattled the region.
A day after a 7.2 earthquake struck the Mexican border town of Mexicali, residents on both sides of the country line remained jittery. Although cars were prohibited from crossing north, people walked over the border to flee Mexicali.
Traffic was slow Monday morning along westbound Interstate 8 in El Centro as Caltrans checked for problems on the freeway that may have been caused by the earthquake.

Strong quake kills 2 in Mexico, rattles US states

clipped from news.yahoo.com

MEXICALI, Mexico – Aftershocks rattled the southwest Mexico-U.S. border on Monday morning in the aftermath of a major earthquake that killed two people, blacked out cities and forced the evacuation of hospitals and nursing homes.

Sunday's 7.2-magnitude quake, centered just south of the U.S. border near Mexicali, was one of the strongest earthquakes to hit region in decades, shaking at least 20 million people.

It had a shallow depth of 6 miles (10 kilometers). But the human toll was minimal in large part because the energy from the quake moved northwest of Mexicali toward a less populated area, said Jessica Sigala, a geophysicist from the U.S. Geological Survey.

"Construction codes prevented more serious damage," Valdes said. "People see that it always shakes and have improved their construction capacity. Then when the construction codes are implemented, there is stricter control, especially in larger structures."
