Islamist mob raids church in Cairo

A radical Islamist mob, known as Salafists, storm into Virgin Mary Church in Cairo, Egypt before setting the building on fire. The video captures the mob breaking windows and destroying furniture. Notice that one person is clearly holding a pistol before heading upstairs where Coptic Christians are hiding. At least 12 people were killed and more than 200 were wounded in the May 7th attack.

TUNIS (Reuters) – Tunisia said it freed the last political prisoners of its fallen strongman on Wednesday as the new caretaker leadership faced more calls for a fuller purge of the old guard from the fledgling national unity coalition.
Najib Chebbi, whose move this week from marginalized opposition leader to a ministerial appointment in the new cabinet is emblematic of the new Tunisia, told Reuters: "All the political prisoners have been released today."
They included members of the banned Islamist movement Ennahda. But figures were not available of how many people had been released.
Secrecy under veteran former president Zine al-Abidine Ben Ali, who fled to Saudi Arabia, meant that the number of those detained for political reasons was never made public.
While authoritarian Arab rulers have long cited the threat of radical Islam to justify repressive rule to their Western allies, Tunisia's Islamist opposition has been less visible than those in poorer and less secular states of the region.
Hundreds of protesters demonstrated in the Tunisian capital on Wednesday to demand the dismissal of former Ben Ali loyalists from the new government headed by Prime Minister Mohamed Ghannouchi, who was himself premier under the old leadership.
He is due to hold a first cabinet meeting on Thursday.

Here we go: The leader of the Muslim Brotherhood has endorsed (Arabic) (English translation by MEMRI) anti-American Jihad and pretty much every element in the al-Qaida ideology book. Since the Brotherhood is the main opposition force in Egypt and Jordan as well as the most powerful group, both politically and religiously, in the Muslim communities of Europe and North America this is pretty serious stuff.

Christians in the Middle East are on alert after Islamist extremists called them "legitimate targets" days after a bloody siege of a Baghdad church. In Egypt, security has been stepped up around Christian sites as Islamists demand the release of two Coptic women who reportedly converted to Islam.

Al-Qaida in Iraq posted a internet statement saying "the killing sword will not be lifted" from the necks of Christians, in Iraq and across the region.

The speaker said his group will go after "your children" in Syria, Lebanon and Egypt, adding there are hundreds of thousands of Christians and hundreds of churches on what he referred to as Islamic soil. He said they will be targeted if Christians do not submit to his group's demands.

Among the demands of the militants, which include al-Qaida in Iraq and its umbrella group, the Islamic State of Iraq, is the release of two Egyptian women some Muslims claim are being held against their will after converting to Islam.

The men who attacked the Our Lady of Salvation Church Sunday in Baghdad told Egyptian Coptic authorities they had 48 hours to let the women go.

Somali terrorist believed on Mexican border

Somalis with ties to a terrorist organization are believed to be plotting to illegally enter the United States after being mistakenly released from custody in Mexico, a confidential federal law enforcement report said.
The report, obtained by the Washington Examiner, said that 23 Somalis who entered Mexico illegally earlier in the year were caught there, then released in late January.
Only 16 of the 23 people were identified by both Mexican and U.S. law enforcement officials, while the "other 7 are unknown," the report says.
Included in the group is Mohamed Osman Noor, 35, of Somalia, who U.S. officials suspect has strong ties to Al-Shabaab Mujahideen, an Islamist insurgency group in the ongoing war in Somalia with ties to al Qaeda.

What so many seem to not understand lately is this is a very serious matter. It is also the reason Arizona had to do something about it.

TERRORISTS CROSSING MEXICAN-U.S. BORDER!

From News channel 2 in Atlanta. Agents in New Mexico and Arizona are catching thousands of OTM's (other than Mexicans). Border patrol and ranchers are finding muslim prayer shaws, muslim jackets with "martyr" patches on them. "There are people who mean to do us harm who cross our borders every day"

Bombs Kill 30 at Mogadishu Mosque

Two bomb blasts ripped through a mosque in Somalia's capital Saturday, killing at least 30 people and wounding up to 70 others.

The explosions were at the Abdala Shideye mosque in Mogadishu's main Bakara market, an area controlled by militant Islamist groups al-Shabab and Hizbul Islam.

The mosque is often used by al-Shabab leaders to deliver speeches. Witnesses said one of the group's high-ranking officials, Fuad Mohamed Qalaf, was inside the mosque at the time of the bombings.

Qalaf, who is the target of international sanctions, was reported to have escaped with only minor injuries. Al-Shabab militants arrived after the explosions and blocked access to the area.

No one claimed responsibility for Saturday's attack. It was the second bomb attack on a mosque in Bakara this week.

Turkey is now ruled by the Justice and Democratic Party (Adalet ve Kalkinma, AKP)- - a party under the Gulen’s control. Abdullah Gul, Turkey’s first Islamist President, is a Gulen disciple along with Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Yusuf Ziya Ozcan, the head of Turkey’s Council of Higher Education.

Under the AKP, Turkey has transformed from a secular state into an Islamic country with 85,000 active mosques – one for every 350- citizens – the highest number per capita in the world, 90,000 imams, more imams than teachers and physicians – and thousands of state-run Islamic schools.

His name is Fethullah Gulen and he resides not in the wilds of southern Turkey – but the mountains of Northeastern Pennsylvania.

The FBI has been called to the scene, the neighbors say, but no action has been taken to end the illegal activity.
