New Control Over Privacy on Facebook

Image representing Facebook as depicted in Cru...Image via CrunchBase Why do I post things like this? Simple to help others wake up and see what it going on in the world. It's to help those who actually read it see the reality of many subjects that are not talked about much either online or on the news. But, most of all to grab the attention of these places and people to hopefully get results that we need.

I saw this article today and have to say. It's good to see people actually paying attention out there. Yet somehow I thought Google would have listened as well. But to see Facebook actually making changes. I'm impressed. Looks like some actually do listen. It's good to see results. Though it may not be enough, It's a good start. Now if only Google plus would listen as well.

http://finance.yahoo.com/news/New-Control-Over-Privacy-on-nytimes-2340101277.html?x=0&.v=2
Privacy worries have bedeviled Facebook since its early days, from the introduction of the endless scroll of data known as the news feed to, most recently, the use of facial recognition technology to identify people in photographs.
At the nub of all those worries, of course, is how much people share on Facebook, with whom and — perhaps most important — how well they understand the potential consequences.
The company has struggled to find a balance between giving users too little control over privacy and giving them too much, for fear they won’t share much at all. Seeking a happy medium, Facebook announced changes on Tuesday that it says will help users get a grip on what they share.
When the changes are introduced on Thursday, every time Facebook users add a picture, comment or any other content to their profile pages, they can specify who can see it: all of their so-called Facebook friends, a specific group of friends, or everyone who has access to the Internet. These will be indicated by icons that replace the current, more complicated padlock menu.
Similar controls will apply to information like users’ phone numbers and hometowns and whether they like, say, death metal bands, on their profile pages. Users will no longer have to seek out a separate privacy page to tweak who sees how much of that personal information. Nor will they have to bother to remember what those settings were.
Company officials say they hope the changes will simplify the process of establishing who knows what about your life on the Internet — and hopefully, save a few people the embarrassment of unwittingly sharing too much.

Of course I still trying to figure out how most of these plan to investigate themselves being that they are all part of the same group. For those that don't know may want to look at many posts I've done on here before about them.
But, Even the New York Times picked up on it. I'm Impressed.

Facebook ‘Face Recognition’ Feature Draws Privacy Scrutiny

http://www.nytimes.com/2011/06/09/technology/09facebook.html
BRUSSELS (Bloomberg News) — European Union data protection regulators said on Wednesday that they would investigate Facebook over a feature that uses face-recognition software to suggest people’s names to tag in pictures without their permission, and a privacy group in the United States said that it planned to file a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission over the feature.
A group of privacy watchdogs drawn from the European bloc’s 27 nations will study the measure for possible rule violations, said GĂ©rard Lommel, a Luxembourg member of the so-called Article 29 Data Protection Working Party. Authorities in Britain and Ireland said they are also looking into the photo-tagging function on the world’s most popular social networking service.
“Tags of people on pictures should only happen based on people’s prior consent and it can’t be activated by default,” said Mr. Lommel. Such automatic tagging suggestions “can bear a lot of risks for users” and the European data protection officials will “clarify to Facebook that this can’t happen like this.”
I will soon have more on this information soon. Why. Because people need to know about it.

A US Navy destroyer intercepted a North Korean cargo ship in the South China Sea suspected of carrying missiles or other weapons and made it turn back, officials said Monday.
The cargo ship, the M/V Light, may have been headed to Myanmar with military contraband, Gary Samore, special assistant to President Barack Obama on weapons of mass destruction, told the South Korean Yonhap news agency.
The New York Times, which first reported the incident, said the ship was intercepted south of the Chinese city of Shanghai by a US destroyer on May 26.
The North Korean ship was registered in Belize, whose government gave the United States permission to board and inspect the ship, Samore and Pentagon officials said.
"We talked directly to the North Koreans. We talked directly to all the Southeast Asian countries including Myanmar, urging them to inspect the ship if it called into their port," Samore was quoted as saying.
"The US Navy also contacted the North Korean ship as it was sailing, to ask them where they were going and what cargo they were carrying."
The USS McCampbell, a guided-missile destroyer, then requested permission to board the M/V Light and was refused by the ship's master, who said it was a North Korean ship, Pentagon spokesman Colonel Dave Lapan told reporters.
The US destroyer continued to track the vessel which eventually headed back to North Korea on May 29 "in order to avoid inspection," Lapan said.
"We believe that those signs point to the fact that it was carrying an illicit cargo in violation of the UN Security Council resolutions," he said.

Blackwater Founder Assembling Secret Mercenary Obama's secret military operations

http://news.antiwar.com/2011/05/15/blackwater-founder-assembling-secret-mercenary-army-for-uae
For the second time this year, Blackwater USA founder Erik Prince has been tapped as the leader of a secret military being formed in the desert. In January he was reportedly at the head of a “anti-piracy milita” in northern Somalia. Now, he is in the United Arab Emirates.
The UAE confirmed Prince’s hiring, saying he was providing “operational, planning and training support” for them, but offering no additional details. Documents leaked regarding the deal with Prince’s new company, Reflex Responses, confirm that he is building up a new mercenary army for the emirates.
The mercenary force is largely composed of Colombians and reportedly also features a number of South African mercs who were involved in the Executive Outcomes corporate army of the 1990′s.
Officially the reason for the new mercenary army is “anti-terrorism” operations, but the force is also confirmed to be created to deal with “internal unrest.” A number of other nations in the region have faced pro-democracy uprisings in recent months, and the United Arab Emirates even provided troops to help Bahrain crush theirs.

At a covert forward operating base run by the US Joint Special Operations Command (JSOC) in the Pakistani port city of Karachi, members of an elite division of Blackwater are at the center of a secret program in which they plan targeted assassinations of suspected Taliban and Al Qaeda operatives, "snatch and grabs" of high-value targets and other sensitive action inside and outside Pakistan, an investigation by The Nation has found. The Blackwater operatives also assist in gathering intelligence and help direct a secret US military drone bombing campaign that runs parallel to the well-documented CIA predator strikes, according to a well-placed source within the US military intelligence apparatus.

Secret Desert Force Set Up by Blackwater’s Founder

http://www.nytimes.com/2011/05/15/world/middleeast/15prince.html
The Colombians, along with South African and other foreign troops, are trained by retired American soldiers and veterans of the German and British special operations units and the French Foreign Legion, according to the former employees and American officials.
In outsourcing critical parts of their defense to mercenaries — the soldiers of choice for medieval kings, Italian Renaissance dukes and African dictators — the Emiratis have begun a new era in the boom in wartime contracting that began after the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks. And by relying on a force largely created by Americans, they have introduced a volatile element in an already combustible region where the United States is widely viewed with suspicion.
The United Arab Emirates — an autocracy with the sheen of a progressive, modern state — are closely allied with the United States, and American officials indicated that the battalion program had some support in Washington.
“The gulf countries, and the U.A.E. in particular, don’t have a lot of military experience. It would make sense if they looked outside their borders for help,” said one Obama administration official who knew of the operation. “They might want to show that they are not to be messed with.”
Still, it is not clear whether the project has the United States’ official blessing. Legal experts and government officials said some of those involved with the battalion might be breaking federal laws that prohibit American citizens from training foreign troops if they did not secure a license from the State Department.
Mark C. Toner, a spokesman for the department, would not confirm whether Mr. Prince’s company had obtained such a license, but he said the department was investigating to see if the training effort was in violation of American laws. Mr. Toner pointed out that Blackwater (which renamed itself Xe Services ) paid $42 million in fines last year for training foreign troops in Jordan and other countries over the years.
The U.A.E.’s ambassador to Washington, Yousef al-Otaiba, declined to comment for this article. A spokesman for Mr. Prince also did not comment.

Obama sharply increases secret military operations

http://www.wsws.org/articles/2010/jun2010/spec-j05.shtml
5 June 2010
The Obama administration has sharply increased the use of US Special Operations forces in secret military interventions around the world, according to a report Thursday by the Washington Post.
The Post reports that the administration has increased to 75 the number of countries where these elements, including US Army Delta Force and Green Beret troops, Navy Seals and other secretive units, are operating, compared to 60 at the beginning of 2009.
Funding for these operations has risen accordingly. The Obama White House has requested a 5.7 percent increase in appropriations for Special Operations in fiscal 2011, amounting to a total budget of $6.3 billion. It has also sought another $3.5 billion in contingency funding for Special Ops in 2010.
Citing senior US military and administration officials, the Post presents a telling picture of the Janus-like character of the Obama administration’s foreign and military policy: “Beneath its commitment to soft-spoken diplomacy, and beyond the combat zones of Afghanistan and Iraq, the Obama administration has significantly expanded a largely secret US war against al-Qaeda and other radical groups,” the newspaper states.
The article continues, “The surge in Special Operations deployments, along with intensified CIA drone attacks in western Pakistan, is the other side of the national security doctrine of global engagement and domestic values President Obama released last week.”
In other words, while mouthing phrases about diplomacy, universal values and the rule of law, Obama has presided over a dramatic escalation in the use of killing squads that have been responsible for assassination programs, torture and the murder of civilians in Iraq and Afghanistan. The use of these methods has been extended secretly to numerous other countries.

Soros Tied to Over 30 Major News Organizations Info Main Media don't want you to know.

WASHINGTON - MARCH 26: Soros Fund Management ...Image by Getty Images via @daylifehttp://visiontoamerica.org/635/soros-tied-to-over-30-major-news-organizations
When liberal investor George Soros gave $1.8 million to National Public Radio , it became part of the firestorm of controversy that jeopardized NPR’s federal funding. But that gift only hints at the widespread influence the controversial billionaire has on the mainstream media. Soros, who spent $27 million trying to defeat President Bush in 2004, has ties to more than 30 mainstream news outlets – including The New York Times, Washington Post, the Associated Press, NBC and ABC
Prominent journalists like ABC’s Christiane Amanpour and former Washington Post editor and now Vice President Len Downie serve on boards of operations that take Soros cash. This despite the Society of Professional Journalists’ ethical code stating: “avoid all conflicts real or perceived.”
This information is part of an upcoming report by the Media Research Centers Business & Media Institute which has been looking into George Soros and his influence on the media.

Lets go back yet again to 2009. A Global Carbon TAX?

Dear Patriot,

Greetings constituents, fellow Floridians, and all Americans!

It is again time for the weekly update and what a heck of a week it has indeed been.
The week ended with the mastermind behind the 9/11 attacks finally meeting his maker and paying for the consequences of his decisions to attack the United States and kill thousands of innocent victims. The United States military served ultimate justice on this evil individual.

Representative Allen B. West, a freshman and a leading fund-raiser, met with constituents this week in Fort Lauderdale.

But the most compelling part of Representative Allen B. West of Florida is his own biography, there for all to see: an African-American Tea Party activist Republican congressman and ally of hard-right Israelis who, after his beloved career in the Army ended under a cloud, defeated the sitting Democrat in a largely white, politically polarized district here and quickly became one of the right’s most visible spokesmen.

Dear Editor: With his first bill, passed on April 7 by a vote of 393-0, a freshman congressman from Florida saved taxpayers $35.7 million in 2012, and $180 million through 2016.

What did Allen West, a 22-year U.S. Army veteran, do that every other congressman agreed with but no one ever thought to propose? He cut the printing and copying costs of the Department of Defense by 10 percent. That’s right. An Army veteran put the DOD in the crosshairs of the government waste-cutting ...

PlayStation hackers may have users' credit card info - CNN.com

Credit cardsImage via WikipediaIf you think this is only about Playstation you are sadly mistaken. Anyone that has actually read my articles on RFID and the Tech behind Internet hacking and so, will know how this impacts the entire internet world we live in today. This just goes to show how easy it is to get your information. If you don't want your info out there for the world to grab. Don't put it online anywhere. Including your Cell phones, All pictures, Texts, anything you write on a website is there for the world to see. Not just your friends. Fact is. Security is a very false word when it comes to the internet and phone towers and satellites. Will people read this and understand? Probably not.

People whose credit cards are linked to Sony's PlayStation Network may have been compromised, report says.
People whose credit cards are linked to Sony's PlayStation Network may have been compromised, report says.
STORY HIGHLIGHTS
  • Sony PlayStation hacker or hackers may have stolen users' credit card data
  • New York Times blog: Security researchers see evidence of such theft
  • Sony says it's not clear credit card numbers were stolen, urges precaution
  • The PlayStation Network has been down since April 20
(CNN) -- In addition to usernames, e-mail addresses and passwords, the hacker or hackers who cracked into Sony's PlayStation network also may have nabbed credit card numbers.
Sony says there's no reason to believe credit card numbers of the network's 77 million users have been stolen, but security researchers tell the New York Times' Bits Blog otherwise.
"Sony is saying the credit cards were encrypted, but we are hearing that the hackers made it into the main database, which would have given them access to everything, including credit card numbers," Mathew Solnik, a security consultant with iSEC Partners, told the Times' Nick Bilton.
Bilton quotes three security researchers who say they've seen talk about the stolen credit card numbers in dark corners of the Internet.
They say as many as 2.2 million credit card numbers may have been stolen as part of the attack. One researcher says the hackers appear to be trying to sell some of the credit card information for more than $100,000.
CNN has not independently verified these claims.
The Sony PlayStation Network -- which lets users play games with friends in remote locations, purchase games over the Internet and stream movies -- has been down since April 20 following a major infiltration of its security system.
Some PlayStation Network users link their credit cards to the online service so they can quickly purchase games and make other transactions.
Sony says personal data has been stolen, since the database that includes that information was not encrypted. But the company has maintained it has no reason to believe the hackers have access to PlayStation users' credit card numbers, which it says were stored in an encrypted database.
Still, Sony has encouraged people to take precautions:
"While all credit card information stored in our systems is encrypted and there is no evidence at this time that credit card data was taken, we cannot rule out the possibility," the company said in a blog post on Thursday. "If you have provided your credit card data through PlayStation Network or Qriocity, out of an abundance of caution we are advising you that your credit card number (excluding security code) and expiration date may have been obtained."
Some PlayStation users have been changing their credit card numbers as a precaution.
E-mail addresses and passwords also are valuable to cyber criminals.

Globalist Agendas, Unanswered Questions and Global Government

Reverse of the Great Seal of the United States.Image via WikipediaSo many times I heard people say. Oh yeah it's those conspiracy theories that have those people so messed up. And the people ignoring facts saying its those Fear Mongering people that got people strung out for no reason.

As much as I would like to make this short. This subject is far from being able to do that now. So I want to add a few links for those ignoring facts to start studying these facts for themselves. Just a few to start off with. Check out more on this page.

From Bunkerville:God, Guns and Guts Comrades: So there really is a Trilateral commission that we conservatives were often mocked upon. So there is a cabal. And it is almost complete. With the merger of the two stock exchanges, yes, one unified financial system. Other stock exchanges are in talks as well. And the “Media” was in it up to their eyeballs. Next of course, will be the currency. Watch for the abandonment of the dollar.
Based on his recent public comments, Fed Chairman Bernanke seems determined to give the U.S. dollar the reputation of Egypt’s Hosni Mubarak: an unwanted relic of the past that everyone agrees must go, but stubbornly clings to a privileged position. The dollar is currently the world’s ruling currency, but, as with Mubarak, I believe that growing public discontent will spur regime change quicker than most pundits expect.

Then a recent post from the Canadian Press.
  • By Jim O'Neill  Tuesday, February 15, 2011 image“We are grateful to the Washington Post, the New York Times, Time Magazine and other great publications whose directors have attended our meetings and respected their promises of discretion for almost 40 years.  ...It would have been impossible for us to develop our plan for the world if we had been subjected to the lights of publicity during those years.  But, the world is more sophisticated and prepared to march towards a world government.  The supernational sovereignty of an intellectual elite and world bankers is surely preferable to the national autodetermination practiced in past centuries.”—David Rockefeller (from a speech given to the Trilateral Commission in 1991)

To paraphrase the above quote, Rockefeller is thanking various print-media propaganda outlets for keeping certain facts “under their hat.”  Facts such as how the Trilateral Commission and other NGOs have worked so diligently to destroy the USA’s power and prestige, and replace it with a global government run by a banking cabal and an “intellectual elite.”  (Link)
It’s a fact that the Rockefellers, Bilderbergs, Rothschilds, et al., and NGOs like the Club of Rome, along with individuals such as George Soros, and Maurice Strong are involved in a globalist NWO takeover.  And puh-leeze no talk about “conspiracy theories.”  It is not a conspiracy, it is an agenda, and it is certainly no theory.  It is out in the open for all the world to see, if anyone cares to look.      (Link)
“We the people” greatly outnumber the traitors in America (and make no mistake, an American globalist, under any banner, is a traitor to the United States).  Although the globalists may be vastly outnumbered, they hold much of the “high ground” in our government, media, courts, academia, and even the higher echelons of our military—all by design.  (Link)

The fact that our government is riddled with these traitors is of the gravest concern, and much depends on the patriotism of those in the 112th Congress
Posted from Diigo. The rest of my favorite links are here.

There is so much more to add here and unless you actually take the time to see what is really going on in the World around you, I often wonder if the people of this great planet of ours are just bent on going back into a slavery state of mind.
It's really no joke. If you don't know much about Rockefeller. You may want to find out more about him. After all he and his family have ran many governments for a very long time now.

Take even more time to see what Bilderberg's are up to.
http://www.bilderberggroup.net/

What are Bilderberg Conferences all about?

The Bilderberg Secretariat proclaims the conferences to be '...private in order to encourage frank and open discussion'. Frank and open discussion is a good thing in any forum but when those doing the discussing are some of the very most powerful financiers and media tycoons in the world it begs the question: If what they discuss is for the good of ordinary people why not publicise it! Isn't it a perverted use of the word 'open' when no-one can find out what they're saying?

Is Bilderberg a secret conspiracy?

When such rich and powerful people meet up in secret, with military intelligence managing their security, with hardly a whisper escaping of what goes on inside, people are right to be suspicious. But the true power of Bilderberg comes from the fact that participants are in a bubble, sealed off from reality and the devastating implications on the ground of the black-science economic solutions on the table.

As we go through link after link after link. Of new articles, Blogs and even videos. The fact remains as this. It is no secret anymore. Let me add more that you can read from here.

Still Don't Believe In The New World Order?
"Today, America would be outraged if U.N. troops entered Los Angeles to restore order [referring to the 1991 LA Riot]. Tomorrow they will be grateful! This is especially true if they were told that there were an outside threat from beyond [i.e., an "extraterrestrial" invasion], whether real or *promulgated* [emphasis mine], that threatened our very existence. It is then that all peoples of the world will plead to deliver them from this evil. The one thing every man fears is the unknown. When presented with this *scenario*, individual rights will be willingly relinquished for the guarantee of their well-being granted to them by the World Government." Dr. Henry Kissinger, Bilderberger Conference, Evians, France, 1991

As  I continue receiving more information on all this. I will be more than willing to share them with you. I'm trying to make these short. But, for those that have already studied all this. They also know after centuries of plans and a global agenda, it going to take much more for people to understand the full effect and impact this has on us all.

America is about Freedom from people like this. So is our Constitution. I can only hope and pray people will wake up and stand up before it's to late. Or is it already to late?

I was born FREE. I plan to stay that way.

WikiLeaks: Syria gave Hizbullah Scud-D missiles - Worthy News

Clinton asks Arab and Western nations to help stop Syria from continuing to transfer ballistic missiles, weapons to Hizbullah.
The US lodged a complaint against Syria for providing "advanced ballistic missiles and other weaponry" to Hizbullah, shortly after Syrian President Bashar Assad denied doing so, according to documents released by WikiLeaks on Tuesday.

"We are concerned about Syria's provision of increasingly sophisticated weapons to Hizbullah," US Secretary of State Hilary Clinton wrote in a February 2010 diplomatic cable classified as "secret."

"In our meetings last week it was stated that Syria is not transferring any 'new' missiles to Lebanese Hizbullah," Clinton wrote. Assad also said that "Syria could not be Israel's policeman."

In that meeting, the US expressed concern that Hizbullah had been given Fateh-110 missiles, which can reach Tel Aviv. A US government official told The New York Times last week that these missiles are highly accurate and especially threatening.

"We are aware, however, of current Syrian efforts to supply Hizbullah with ballistic missiles," Clinton explained. These missiles include Scud-D missiles, based on North Korean technology. "I must stress that...we strongly caution [Syria] against such a serious escalation."

N. Korea details nuclear program amid tension - World news - Asia-Pacific - msnbc.com

Secretive North Korea detailed for the first time its expanded nuclear program on Tuesday, saying it had thousands of working centrifuges, as pressure built on China to rein in its ally amid tensions on the peninsula.
Pyongyang's revelations about its uranium enrichment, which gives it a second route to make a nuclear bomb, came a week after it fired an artillery barrage at a South Korean island, killing four people including two civilians.
Although North Korean rhetoric remained high — the country warned the U.S.-South Korea military drills could trigger "full-blown war" — a senior North Korean official left Pyongyang for talks with leaders in China.
