How Sarah Palin Got it Right About Paul Revere 'Warning the British'

Those quibbling with Governor Palin’s statements have their history incomplete. During Paul Revere’s ride he was stopped by British soldiers, which Revere recounts in a 1789 letter maintained by the Massachusetts Historical Society ,in his original language (emphasis mine):

I observed a Wood at a Small distance, & made for that. When I got there, out Started Six officers, on Horse back,and orderd me to dismount;-one of them, who appeared to have the command, examined me, where I came from,& what my Name Was? I told him. it was Revere, he asked if it was Paul? I told him yes He asked me if  I was an express? I answered in the afirmative. He demanded what time I left Boston? I told him; and  aded, that their troops had catched aground in passing the River, and that There would be five hundred Americans there in a short time, for I had alarmed the Country all the way up. He imediately rode towards those who stoppd us, when all five of them came down upon a full gallop; one of them, whom I afterwards found to be Major Mitchel, of the 5th Regiment, Clapped his pistol to my head, called me by name, & told me he was going to ask me some questions, & if I did not give him true answers, he would blow my brains out. He then asked me similar questions to those above. He then orderd me to mount my Horse, after searching me for arms.He then orderd them to advance, & to lead me in front. When we got to the Road, they
turned down towards Lexington. When we had got about one Mile, the Major Rode up to the officer that was leading me, & told him to give me to the Sergeant. As soon as he took me, the Major orderd him, if I attempted to run, or any body insulted them, to blow my brains out. We rode till we got near Lexington Meeting-house, when the Militia fired a Voley of Guns, which appeared to alarm them very much.

Sarah Palin stepped out of Paul Revere's home in Boston and appeared to get her history wrong. The Internet then exploded in ridicule and astonishment at the ditz from Alaska once again uttering nonsense.
It started when Palin told a questioner, according to the Daily Caller, that Revere had had "warned the British" and not the colonials. The firestorm was instantaneous and viral. From staid organs of the mainstream media like the Los Angeles Times to the snarky left side of the Internet such as the Daily Kos, almost everyone arose in high dudgeon.
Except, albeit somewhat clumsily expressed, Palin was correct.
Professor William A. Jacobson over at Legal Insurrection notes the memoirs of Revere himself, as pointed out by the Conservatives4Palin site. In it, Revere recounts an incident during the famous Midnight Ride in which he was accosted by a British military patrol and was interrogated about what his business was on the road. Revere indicated to his British captors that he had warned the countryside of the approach of British troops up the Lexington-Concord road, matching pretty much what Palin said.

The media is in a frenzy and elite pundits are all atwitter. Why? Because Sarah Palin refuses to let them define her. As Palin puts it, “I don’t owe the media anything.”

The political and media elites on both left and right are rising up in anger at former Governor Sarah Palin. Stories abound, all negative, about this American citizen whose message resonates with ordinary citizens yet doesn’t conform to the current political and media template.
By all rights, Palin should be kowtowing to the media. Doesn’t she know that? Instead, this upstart dares to ignore the unwritten rules governing political behavior. Palin is playing by her own rules and that just isn’t done.
In the elite world of the old media, any contender for public office must give due deference to the unwritten and ever-changing rules of political correctness. The sacred cows of diversity, multiculturalism, and social justice cannot be ignored. And the media is the only one allowed to define the issues (thereby winning the debate by default).
But Sarah Palin has her own agenda. And whatever her agenda is, it most certainly doesn’t fit into the template the media and political elites have insisted upon.

What do you think of when you imagine a White House “Celebration of American Poetry and Prose?” A quiet collection of serious minded women and professorial looking men reciting, in tones both dramatic and hushed, carefully crafted cadenzas in a setting of earnest reflection?
Think again. Think of THIS:
Yo, yo, yo, lissen up. This is not your father’s candy ass poetry reading, you hear?
Mrs. Obama, who is supposedly so concerned about the future of our nation’s impressionable and overweight youth, has invited this spigot of hatred, a rapper who calls himself “Common,” to the White House Wednesday to share his vitriol.
It’s one thing to be angry about your circumstances and to express it. It’s quite another to threaten harm against the police.
Instead of inviting this person to the White House, Obama should probably be trying to find out if “Common” is serious about his own lyrics. He’s not a poet. He’s a security threat.
How fraudulent of Obama to head to Ground Zero last week and have his picture taken with police who responded to the 9/11 disaster, and then give the presidential seal of approval to someone who wrote this:

Ariz. suspect not talking ahead of court

Image via WikipediaWhen I heard about the shooting here in Arizona of Gabrielle Giffrords. I knew right away that just because she is a Democrat that it was going to cause a lot of name calling and High school childish behaviors blaming anyone who agrees with Tea Partiers, and Moral values. You know I was actually right again on this one. Take a look at the link below.  Sure enough the true nature of the past 2 years of Democratic Nature shines through so brightly. It amazes me how this socialistic nature in these people are not being targeted as very destructive not just to themselves and to others.

Today, in an act of terrorism, a nut tried to kill Congressman Gabrielle Giffords (D-AZ).  Fortunately, contrary to earlier reports, she will live.  The police have not released details yet, including whether she was the target, or US District Judge John Roll, who was killed in the attack or someone else.

The aftermath of this act will be felt for sometime to come.  It is the end of perhaps two eras here in the United States.

In America, though we might have differences, there were always certain things we could agree on.  Conservatives and liberals could discuss and debate issues.  That era is gone and the aftermath of today’s shooting is the official obituary for political civility in this country.

Although there was no proof the shooter was involved in conservative politics or the Tea Party, the left went nuts.  Immediately after the shooting, the left went after the Tea Party.   The Daily Kos went on a rant.  On the Hill.com, one of the comments in the story about the shooting was from someone called “AC.”  He said:

The Tucson Tea Party will be made to pay for the blood on their hands. An eye for an eye. You want a civil war, you got one. KILL Jesse Kelly for his role, then KILL Sarah Palin, Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, and Gleen Beck(sic). Whoever puts BULLETS in ther HEADS shall be a NATIONAL HERO.

Now as many try to make this a political move. What they seem to not be listening to is this guy was unstable period. I don't care what politics anyone is part of. Shooting and murdering them is never the answer.

PHOENIX – A 22-year-old man described as a social outcast with wild beliefs steeped in mistrust faces a federal court hearing Monday on charges he tried to assassinate Rep. Gabrielle Giffords in a Tucson shooting rampage that left six people dead.
A military official in Washington said Jared Loughner was rejected from the Army in 2008 because he failed a drug test. The official spoke Monday on condition of anonymity because privacy laws prevent the military from disclosing such information about an individual's application.
The official did not know what type of drug was detected in the screening.
Public defenders are asking that the attorney who defended Oklahoma City bombing conspirator Timothy McVeigh and "Unabomber" Ted Kaczynski defend Loughner, who makes his first court appearance Monday at 2 p.m. MST (4 p.m. EST).
Sheriff Clarence Dupnik told ABC's "Good Morning America" the suspect had said "not a word" to investigators since his arrest. Dupnik said authorities were all but certain Loughner acted alone, saying "he's a typical troubled individual who's a loner."

U.S. Army Gen. David Petraeus, the head of U.S. and NATO forces in Afghanistan, would defeat President Barack Obama in a head-to-head race for the presidency, according to a new Newsmax/SurveyUSA poll.
Newsmax conducted the survey to find out how several well-known political and "dark-horse" celebrity figures, ranging from Hillary Clinton, Sarah Palin, and Bill Gates to Warren Buffett, Donald Trump, and Glenn Beck, would fare if they ran against Obama for the White House.
The survey of 1,000 registered voters was conducted Nov. 3-4, after Republicans won the House and gained six seats in the Senate in the midterm elections — results widely interpreted as a rejection of

Obama and raising questions about his chances for re-election in 2012.
In the Newsmax poll, respondents were asked: “If there were an election for president of the United States today, and the only two names on the ballot were David Petraeus and Barack Obama, whom would you vote for?”

], who formerly served as head of coalition forces in Iraq as well as leading the U.S. Central Command, has denied that he has any political ambitions. Glenn Becks Restoring Honor Rally Full Video

As many of the friends I talk to on a daily basis we had a hard time finding coverage on this major event. But, We Found It! The full video is here from C-Span.
I wanted to watch it all first before I went posting it all, and I have to say this is actually best news I've ran across in years now. If you don't have time to watch all 3 hours of this. Come back and watch as you can. This is what ALL Americans should be thinking on and doing. The points made by every person speaking here is well worth listening to. The Honor of our Soldiers and their Mothers. The Voice of all Americans and the Forefathers of our very own Country. A brief lesson on our Awesome History from George Washington to Abraham Lincoln to Martin Luther King. What they stood for and the Freedom they all fought for.
If your one of those that thing the Rally after Glenn's here was worth it? You might want to stop and watch all of this video. There was NO disrespect to Martin Luther King, Nor anything Political. This entire event was about restoring Honor, Our Freedom, as Americans and All walks of life here in America coming together and Restoring our Country and our Constitution, And having once again One Nation Under God.
Don't take the news feeds as your source to grip and complain. Take the time and Watch this. It's about time that we as Americans finally get some good news for a change. This is it.
As I have seen the News and Media try so hard to down play this huge event. I wanted to take the time to help give them Credit. This is Awesome. Whether or not you like Glenn Beck or not. What he did here, is exactly what this entire Country needs again. America is only a great Nation Because of Our God and our Lord Jesus Christ.
Glenn Beck, Sarah Palin, and others spoke at the Restoring Honor Rally, held at the Lincoln Memorial. Speakers focused on the conservative agenda, emphasizing civil rights issues, the economy, and reducing the size and influence of government.

Americans For Prosperity tell ABC News why they are going to Glenn Beck rally.Today at the National Mall, the rally has attracted more than 100,000 people gathered to see speeches by both Beck and Sarah Palin. Security was beefed up amid concerns of a clash because Beck's rally coincides with the 47th anniversary of Martin Luther King's speech, to be commemorated by various marches and rallies on the capitol."Something that is beyond man is happening," Beck told his supporters as the rally opened. Palin Stuns Media: All Border States Should Have Arizona Immigration Law

How, you ask? Well, not only did she have the courage to defend Arizona’s tough new immigration law on an appearance earlier today on Fox News, but she even went so far as to say that all other border states should adopt the exact same law. She and the Fox news host she spoke with even had the audacity to point out that Mexico’s president was hypocritical beyond belief when he criticized Arizona’s law recently while visiting the White House, because his own country’s immigration laws are, in the words of Palin’s sparring partner, “one of the toughest immigration laws in the world. If you’re a Central American trying to get a job in Mexico, good luck, you have a much better chance of getting a job as a Mexican in the United States than you would in Mexico. So the point is, it just reeks of hypocrisy here.”

Where’s the accountability here folks? The current system has allowed the debate to focus on the fate of “ILLEGAL” immigrants. Illegality spoken of in any other context in a similar fashion would be unconscionable to many and absolutely deplorable to most. While our Federal government has sat idly by and allowed this pattern of unruliness and disorder to go unchecked, our states have been left picking up the tab and dealing with the consequences

Meanwhile as Arizona stands up. The rest of America (That actually read the new Law) Strongly support it.

To view Americans and Media scrambling to come up with excuses to deny American Freedom from and the right to protect citizens of the Untied States is something I never thought I would ever see in America.

Those who live on the borders knows how dangerous this has all become.
The more I see Obama bashing all this. Makes me really question his motives. If he actually claims to be American. Would he not actually Fight for American Rights?

I really hoped the best with him. But all I've seen from him so far is anti-American, Anti-Christian and Anti-Constitutional Laws come from thie entire Administration. Why an Earth would anyone want to back this?

Sarah Palin throws the God punch -- again

For those that try their hardest to claim God isn't in the Constitution better re-read it. While they are at it. They may want to take a long hard look at American History again. The reason why our ancestors left all the other countries to come here and to Worship God Freely. Not by organization.
Re-read the Bill of Rights, not by interpretation. It's says what it says.

Palin, Tea Party Activists Target Reid

Sarah Palin told thousands of tea party activists assembled in the Nevada desert Saturday that Sen. Harry Reid will have to explain his votes when he comes back to his hometown to campaign.

The wind whipped U.S. flags behind the former Alaska governor as she stood on a makeshift stage, holding a microphone and her notes as she spoke to the cheering crowd. She told them Reid, fighting for re-election, is "gambling away our future."

"Someone needs to tell him, this is not a crapshoot," Palin said.

About 7,000 people streamed into tiny Searchlight, a former mining town 60 miles south of Las Vegas, bringing American flags, "Don't Tread on Me" signs and outspoken anger toward Reid, President Barack Obama and the healthcare overhaul.

Palin told them the big-government, big-debt spending spree of the Senate majority leader, Obama and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi is over.

"You're fired!" Palin said.

  "By joining Fox News in a deal announced Monday, the former Republican vice presidential nominee gains instant access to an audience that gives Sean Hannity, Glenn Beck and Bill O'Reilly the highest ratings in cable news -- and a clear boost if she attempts another run for national office. "This gives her a platform she can use to stay relevant, to stay in the public eye and to flush out some of her policy positions," said Republican strategist Todd Harris, who once worked for Palin's 2008 running mate, John McCain. "To the degree it gives her a direct line to the kinds of people who vote in Republican primaries, it does give her an advantage." Out-of-work politicians are increasingly using television and radio to stay on the political radar and keep their options open, which is one reason that former Arkansas governor Mike Huckabee, an also-ran in the 2008 White House race and possible 2012 contender, is now hosting a weekend show, also on Fox. The former Alaska governor will appear as a pundit on various Fox shows, beginning Tuesday on "The O'Reilly Factor," and host an occasional series that was already in the works, "Real American Stories," which will examine inspirational tales involving ordinary citizens who have suffered setbacks. Palin has used similar language in speeches, and apologized during the presidential campaign for referring to small towns as "the real America" and the "pro-America areas of this great nation." Palin said in a statement that she is "thrilled" to be joining Fox, adding, "It's wonderful to be part of a place that so values fair and balanced news." "

And as yet there is no large-scale economical method of storing electricity for later use. This would seem to imply a need to retain the present system of power production alongside the new system that is to be based on wind and sun, or else to grow accustomed to protracted periods without power. Or is it the case perhaps that this problem is to be taken as an opportunity for even greater gains in employment in connection with wind and solar power? These might be achieved if, in all those times when the wind does not blow or the sun does not shine, human beings were employed in rotating copper-clad generator shafts, in a manner similar to that of rotating a grindstone in a gristmill, only in the presence of surrounding magnets, so that electricity could be produced by the rotation. (I don’t know how much, if any, electricity might actually be produced in this way.
