Here is the French Forecast model as of March 30, 2011 for Cesium 137 ...

http://www.irsn.fr/FR/popup/Pages/irsn-meteo-france_30mars.aspx

FIRST.. this is NOT THE END OF THE WORLD!

in my honest opinion, this is NOT LETHAL.. however the levels are "mid" and "low" range at surface, 2500m, and 5000m ... for gasses NOT detectable by radiation detectors.

here are the links.. you decide for yourself.

Surface levels and high level clouds of Cesium 137, Iodine 131, and Xenon 133, have reached the United States .. showing up in 13 different states rain water according to fox news..

Now this is undeniable, and proved via results shown in the video and linked below.

Now the debate becomes "how much is bad".. .the answer.. lets just say there are NO GOOD AMOUNTS of Cesium, iodine-131, or Xenon - 133

Here is a list of the radioactive particles in the air.

More U.S. states find traces of radiation from Japan

http://edition.cnn.com/2011/US/03/23/colorado.oregon.radiation
Since Japan's nuclear crisis, more RadNet radiation monitors like this one have been deployed in areas in the west coast.
Since Japan's nuclear crisis, more RadNet radiation monitors like this one have been deployed in areas in the west coast.
STORY HIGHLIGHTS
  • Colorado and Oregon report trace levels of radioactive particles
  • Washington, California and Hawaii have also found small amounts
  • The levels detected so far aren't harmful to human health, experts say
(CNN) -- Colorado and Oregon have joined several other Western states in reporting trace amounts of radioactive particles that have likely drifted about 5,000 miles from a quake and tsunami-damaged nuclear power plant in Japan, officials say.
But, on a portion of its website dedicated to tracking such radiation, the Environmental Protection Agency noted Wednesday that these and other readings "show typical fluctuation in background radiation levels" and -- thus far -- "are far below levels of concern."
Sampling from a monitor in Colorado -- part of a national network of stations on the lookout for radioactivity -- detected miniscule amounts of iodine-131, a radioactive form of iodine, the state's public health and environmental department said Wednesday in a press release.
On the same day in Portland, Oregon, tiny quantities of iodine-131 were also detected by an Environmental Protection Agency air monitor, Oregon public health officials said.

Small amounts of radioactive material were detected Wednesday, too, in Hawaii -- just as they had a day earlier, according to the EPA. But while they were above the historical and background norm, the levels weren't considered harmful to human health.
Washington and California previously reported low levels of radioactive isotopes that likely came from Japan's Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant, which has been releasing radioactive particles into the air since its cooling and other systems were damaged by a 9.0-magnitude earthquake and massive tsunami on March 11. Efforts continued Thursday to cool down the spent nuclear fuel rods, prevent a further meltdown of the plant's six reactor cores and curb the release of additional radioactive material.

Jim Woolsey: Nuclear Iran 'Extremely' Likely

Ikata Nuclear Power PlantImage via Wikipedia

clipped from newsmax.com

The likelihood that Iran will have a nuclear weapon in a year or less is “extremely high,” former Central Intelligence Director James R. Woolsey tells Newsmax.

“I don’t think Iran has had much interest in anything except a nuclear weapon with their nuclear program,” Woolsey says. “Most of the estimates I’m hearing and was hearing last winter in Israel talk about sometime late this year, early next, for the possibility of a relatively primitive nuclear weapon.”

Such a weapon could be a “so-called shotgun design, which is very easy to do once you have the highly enriched uranium,” Woolsey notes. It could be “something that could be detonated up in the northern desert of Iran and have a mushroom cloud and radioactivity, and everyone would say they're now a nuclear power.”

That sort of weapon could be less than a year away, Woolsey says.

20 Things You Will Need To Survive When The Economy Collapses And The Next Great Depression Begins

Today, millions of Americans say that they believe that the United States is on the verge of a major economic collapse and will soon be entering another Great Depression.  But only a small percentage of those same people are prepared for that to happen.
The sad truth is that the vast majority of Americans would last little more than a month on what they have stored up in their homes.
Unless you already live in a cave or you are a complete and total mindless follower of the establishment media, you should be able to see very clearly that our society is more vulnerable now than it ever has been.  This year there have been an unprecedented number of large earthquakes around the world and volcanoes all over the globe are awakening.
Not only that, but we have a world that is full of lunatics in positions of power, and if one of them decides to set off a nuclear, chemical or biological weapon in a major city it could paralyze an entire region.

Are you prepared?

Russia: Iranian Nuke Reactor Ready for August 2010 Launch

Russia announced Wednesday that the Iranian nuclear reactor it is helping to build is set to launch its operations this August. Sergei Kiriyenko, head of Russia's state nuclear corporation, said the reactor currently being completed at Bushehr is on schedule.

Kiriyenko told reporters during a visit to Argentina, “Bushehr doesn't threaten the regime of nonproliferation in any way. No one has any concerns about Bushehr.”

The announcement comes in the wake of the 40-nation nuclear summit just hosted by the Obama administration in Washington, D.C.

The U.S., she said, had just signed a new START Treaty in Prague, which she said would enable Washington and Russia to “safely reduce our nuclear forces because the threat environment has changed. Today's most pressing nuclear threats come from terrorists and additional countries seeking nuclear weapons."

Despite hosting the largest single gathering of world leaders in 60 years, President Barack Obama's summit on nuclear proliferation probably won't change the horrible likelihood that terrorists someday soon will obtain and explode a nuclear bomb in a major city, experts assembled at the conference said.

Obama Limits When U.S. Would Use Nuclear Arms

Dr. Andrei Dmitrievich SakharovImage by dbking via Flickr

For the first time, the United States is explicitly committing not to use nuclear weapons against nonnuclear states that are in compliance with the Nuclear Nonproliferation Treaty, even if they attacked the United States with biological or chemical weapons or launched a crippling cyberattack.
clipped from www.nytimes.com

WASHINGTON — President Obama said Monday that he was revamping American nuclear strategy to substantially narrow the conditions under which the United States would use nuclear weapons.

But the president said in an interview that he was carving out an exception for “outliers like Iran and North Korea” that have violated or renounced the main treaty to halt nuclear proliferation.

Those threats, Mr. Obama argued, could be deterred with “a series of graded options,” a combination of old and new conventional weapons. “I’m going to preserve all the tools that are necessary in order to make sure that the American people are safe and secure,” he said in the interview in the Oval Office.

Mr. Obama’s new strategy is bound to be controversial, both among conservatives who have warned against diluting the United States’ most potent deterrent and among liberals who were hoping for a blanket statement that the country would never be the first to use nuclear weapons.

The curious disappearance of Lachlan Cranswick

The curious disappearance of Lachlan Cranswick

26 February 2010: Lachlan CRANSWICK, a 41 year-old nuclear scientist working in Ontario vanished last month without a trace. The circumstances surrounding his disappearance are indeed curious and the case merits more than a casual mention, especially in light of numerous other instances of nuclear scientists and microbiologists turning up missing or dead within the last few years, many under mysterious circumstances.

On Monday, January 18, CRANSWICK, who works at the Chalk River Laboratories nuclear facility in Ottawa where he runs experiments for the National Research Council, just completed work for an overseas researcher. He reportedly left his report of findings on his desk to be mailed later, and boarded a bus from the nuclear facility to his home in Deep River, Ontario at 4:30 pm on that day.

Russian president approves new military doctrine

A LGM-30 Minuteman III takes off from Vandenbe...Image via Wikipedia

clipped from en.rian.ru

Russian President Dmitry Medvedev has approved the country's new military doctrine which allows preventive nuclear strikes against potential aggressors.

Russia's nuclear triad comprises land-based ballistic missile systems, nuclear-powered submarines equipped with sea-based ballistic missiles, and strategic bombers carrying nuclear bombs and nuclear-capable cruise missiles.

The new military doctrine also aims to transform the Armed Forces into a more effective and mobile military force. Their structures will be "optimized" through the use of combined arms units performing similar tasks.

Der Spiegel: Iran able to produce nuclear bomb this year - Haaretz - Israel News

Iran 100kgImage by azrainman via Flickr

  • "Iran is serious about developing a nuclear bomb and has the ability to produce a primitive, truck-sized version of the bomb this year, the German magaziner Der Spiegel reported on Monday. An intelligence dossier obtained by Der Spiegel shows that there is a secret military branch of Iran's nuclear research program that answers to Tehran's ministry of defense, according to the report. Officials who have read this document - which is currently under review by the U.S., Germany and Israel - claim that it shows that their nuclear program aimed at producing a bomb is well advanced. Advertisement The officials said to Der Spiegel that the truck-sized bomb which they are capable of producing will have to be compressed to a size that would fit into a nuclear warhead for the strategic threat potential they desire. Der Spiegel also wrote that Israel and the West were alarmed by the dossier's revelations, as Iran could reach the compressed level of a nuclear bomb between 2012 and 2014. Tehran has consistently denied that it is enriching uranium for weapons, claiming it is exclusively dedicated to the peaceful use of nuclear technology. Iran has often warned it would retaliate for any attack on its nuclear facilities, which the West suspects form part of a drive to develop bombs. Tehran denies the charge. U.S. and Israel have not ruled out attack of Iran's nuclear site"
