Washington (CNN) -- The House is set to vote Sunday on the health care bill passed by the Senate in December. Here's the latest on what's happening on Capitol Hill: 7:57 p.m.: In an impassioned speech, Rep. John Lewis, D-Georgia, urges his colleagues to pass health care reform. "This may be the most important vote that we cast as members of this body. We have a moral obligation today, tonight to make health care a right and not a privilege," Lewis said. "This has never been about health care. This is about government," he said, arguing that the proposed legislation would destroy health care for those who are happy with the coverage they have. The Louisiana representative said he will not support the Senate bill because of its abortion language.

ObamaCare Summit Fails The Smell Test

clipped from www.ameripac.org Obama’s NEW Government Takeover Scheme Creates Socialized Health Care Obama cut off discussion continually and said “move on” to stop the GOP from discussing anything that would make a real difference in healthcare reform.  Obama ignored the American public and Republicans as Reid threatened to implement ObamaCare using budget "reconciliation" with no final House or Senate Vote saying we have done this before and we can do it again.  Thousands joined us for ObamaCare Summit Online Tea Party.  The “SUMMIT” was not carried by most stations and even CPAN snubbed it putting it on CPAN-3.  Who watches CPAN-3 anyway? Americans watching overwhelmingly said they were disappointed in the arrogance of Obama and his lack of respect for differing proposals pushing for costly comprehensive reform instead of discussing incremental steps to curb costs.  Most of the comments on our twitter link said that the bill should be scraped and Congress should start over.

FINAL PUSH FOR OBAMACARE IS COMING…

clipped from www.dickmorris.com As the story below indicates, our prediction of a month ago is, unfortunately, coming true: Obama is planning one final push to pass healthcare with no Republican support. Disguising his true intentions behind a health care summit which is designed to fail, he will try to pass the Senate bill in the House and send it to the White House to become law. Then, he will use the reconciliation procedure (which lets him pass budget related bills in the Senate with only 51 votes) to push through additional legislation which modifies the bill to suit House and Senate liberals (probably including a public option). We need to rally one last time to STOP him! Obama will probably get the House liberals to go along with passing the Senate bill as long as reconcilation looms in the future. He will also have no trouble getting the 51 votes to pass reconciliation in the Senate.
