‘Molested’: Former Miss USA Describes Graphic TSA Pat-Down | The Blaze

Susie Castillo, Miss Massachusetts USA and Mis...Image via Wikipediahttp://www.theblaze.com/stories/molested-former-miss-usa-describes-graphic-tsa-pat-down

In 2003, Susie Castillo was selected as the most beautiful woman in the United States when she won the Miss USA competition. This week, the beauty queen recounts an alleged ugly encounter at a Dallas TSA security checkpoint. According to her, she was given a pat-down that she equated with being “molested.”
In a blog post dated Monday, April 24, Castillo recounts what happened to her at DFW airport last week after opting out of going through one of the TSA’s new x-ray scanners:
Anyway, after “opting out,” I proceeded to follow a very nice older female TSA employee to the “pat down” area. It was an inconvenience, but I thought, “No biggie. I just went through this at LAX for the first time and it wasn’t too bad, so let’s just get it over with.”
Well, this pat down was completely different. It was MUCH MORE invasive than my first one at LAX, just a week before. To say that I felt invaded is an understatement. What bothered me most was when she ran the back of her hands down my behind, felt around my breasts, and even came in contact with my vagina! Honestly, I was in shock, especially since the woman at LAX never actually touched me there. The TSA employee at DFW touched private area 4 times, going up both legs from behind and from the front, each time touching me there. Was I at my gynecologist’s office? No! This was crazy!

TEXAS FAITH: Dallas and the 2014 Parliament of the World's Religions

Cults and new religious movements in literatur...Image via Wikipedia
Joining All Faiths together. A One World Religion ran by whom? Didn't I see this in a movie once? Revelations maybe?

TEXAS FAITH: Dallas and the 2014 Parliament of the World's Religions

Dallas, Brussels and Guadalajara are the finalists to host the 2014 Parliament of the World's Religions. If Dallas is chosen to host the meeting, what themes would you suggest the international forum focus on?
This question seems pertinent to our weekly discussion because we have concentrated the last few months on how to create a genuine religious dialogue
AMY MARTIN, Executive Director, Earth Rhythms; Writer/editor, Moonlady Media
The Parliament of the World's Religions is a phenomenal grass-roots movement. If the parliament is hosted here, and there is an excellent chance of that, it will be more than a huge religious gathering of over 6,000 people from dozens of religions and faith paths from around the globe.
The Parliament of the World's Religions provides an isthmus between the myriad faith paths, a safe and common ground for us to stand in peace and discover our highest common denominators.

Feds push for tracking cell phones

Two years ago, when the FBI was stymied by a band of armed robbers known as the "Scarecrow Bandits" that had robbed more than 20 Texas banks, it came up with a novel method of locating the thieves.

FBI agents obtained logs from mobile phone companies corresponding to what their cellular towers had recorded at the time of a dozen different bank robberies in the Dallas area. The voluminous records showed that two phones had made calls around the time of all 12 heists, and that those phones belonged to men named Tony Hewitt and Corey Duffey. A jury eventually convicted the duo of multiple bank robbery and weapons charges.

"The biggest issue at stake is whether or not courts are going to accept the government's minimal view of what is protected by the Fourth Amendment," says EFF's Bankston. "The government is arguing that based on precedents from the 1970s, any record held by a third party about us, no matter how invasively collected, is not protected by the Fourth Amendment."

Fires strike 2 more east Texas churches

clipped from www.usatoday.com
Firefighters respond to a blaze at Dover Baptist Church in Smith County, Texas, on Monday. This fire is the latest in a rash of East Texas church fires, most of which have been ruled arson.
DALLAS (AP) — State and federal law enforcement agencies were vigorously working Tuesday to try to find out who has been setting fire to churches in eastern Texas.

Fire broke out at two churches about three miles apart Monday night in a rural area northwest of Tyler, which is about 85 miles southeast of Dallas. Investigators have not confirmed them as arson, but they were reported within an hour of one another and eight other churches have been intentionally torched in the state since the start of the year.

The U.S. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives is leading the investigation into the string of arsons. Agency spokesman Tom Crowley said Tuesday it's too early to conclude the latest fires were arson.

There were no injuries reported in either fire, but the damage to both churches appeared to be extensive, said Hale, who worked at both fire scenes until about 3 a.m. Tuesday.

"They were big ones. They're not to the ground, but they'll be total losses," he said.
