Texas ready for textbook showdown

Maybe it's time to move to Texas.

Other amendments to the state's curriculum standards for kindergarten through 12th grade would minimize Thomas Jefferson's role in world and U.S. history because he advocated the separation of church and state; require that students learn about "the unintended consequences" of affirmative action; assert that "the right to keep and bear arms" is an important element of a democratic society; and rename the slave trade to the "Atlantic triangular trade.” Dunbar, who home-schools her children and says sending them to local schools would be like “throwing them in the enemy’s flames,” In Texas we have certain statutory obligations to promote patriotism

Politician Admits on Video to Tea Partier That He Doesn’t Care About The Constitution

Sadly, many politicians not only fail to care about interpretation of the Constitution, they do not care what the Constitution says at all. Thomas Jefferson wrote in a letter to William Johnson on June 12 1823, “On every question of construction [of the Constitution] let us carry ourselves back to the time when the Constitution was adopted, recollect the spirit manifested in the debates, and instead of trying what meaning may be squeezed out of the text, or invented against it, conform to the probable one in which it was passed.” Rep. Phil Hare started to reply, “I don’t worry about the Constitution on this to be honest.

Now Mathematically Impossible To Pay Off The U.S. National Debt

Of course if we had listened to our very wise founding father Thomas Jefferson, we could have avoided this colossal mess in the first place....

"If the American people ever allow private banks to control the issue of their money, first by inflation and then by deflation, the banks and corporations that will grow up around them (around the banks), will deprive the people of their property until their children will wake up homeless on the continent their fathers conquered."

What they don't realize is that there simply is not a solution under the current U.S. financial system. It is now mathematically impossible for the U.S. government to pay off the U.S. national debt. You see, the truth is that the U.S. government now owes more dollars than actually exist. If the U.S. government went out today and took every single penny from every single American bank, business and taxpayer, they still would not be able to pay off the national debt. And if they did that, obviously American society would stop functioning because nobody would have any money to buy or sell anything. And the U.S. government would still be massively in debt.
