Washington,
DC, April 20, 2010 (LifeSiteNews.com) -
A recent study by
the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has confirmed 1988 as a
"change point" in the rise of Autism Disorder rates in the U.S. - a date
that pro-life leaders say correlates with the introduction of fetal
cells for use in vaccines
While the EPA study does not
speculate into the cause of the jump in autism rates, and makes no
mention of aborted fetal cells, the researchers point out that it "is
important to determine whether a preventable exposure to an
environmental factor may be associated with the increase."

Europe's Governance Stalemate Causes Gridlock for Global Governance Reform

clipped from www.brookings.edu
Over the last six decades, European countries have moved in what often seemed like a slow and convoluted path toward closer cooperation. Yet, after a history of war and colonialism Europe’s transformation into a peaceful continent, a constructive neighbor and a generous international donor is a great benefit to the world.

The consequence of this is four-fold: First, global governance reform faces gridlock. Second, international institutions lose effectiveness and legitimacy. Third, formal European dominance in these institutions is rendered meaningless by the cacophony of European voices and lack of cohesion in votes. Fourth, Europe over time is increasingly marginalized in global decision making.
This outcome serves neither global nor European interests. It may be counter-intuitive, but if the Europeans give up votes and chairs in the international institutions, they will wield more influence in more effective global institutions.

Germans lose fear of climate change after long, hard winter

I wonder? Who didn't see this one coming?

Germans are losing their fear of climate change, according to a survey, with just 42 percent worried about global warming.

It seems the long and chilly winter has taken its toll on climate change sensibilities despite the fact that weather has nothing to do with climate.

The latest figure is a clear drop from the 62 percent of Germans who said they were scared of such changes just in autumn 2006.

The new survey, carried out by polling company Infratest for Der Spiegel magazine, showed a quarter of those questioned thought Germany would profit from climate change rather than be badly affected by it.
Many people have little faith in the information and prognosis of climate researchers with a third questioned in the survey not giving them much credence. This is thought to be largely due to mistakes and exaggerations recently discovered in a report of the intergovernmental panel on climate change, the IPCC.
Climate research has been put, “in a difficult situation,
