The bill will remove federal funding from any placement agency that “discriminates” on the basis of sexual orientation, gender identity of marital status. This means Christian adoption agencies will be unable to operate according to their founders’ consciences. It means closure of Catholic or Christian agencies which refuse to violate their moral principles of placing children with heterosexual or nuclear families only.
