Troubling Issues with Democrats and Guns

Liberals do not want to face the reality that criminals do not acquire their firearms by going down to the local gun store, getting a background check, and paying tax for their purchase… they get them on the black market.  Because they are criminals banning guns only punishes people who obey the law.

Governments have no Rights, only Authorities, it is the people who have Rights who then give their permission to be ruled.  The Authority a government has may be taken away at any time by the people whereas the government may not take away any Rights from its citizens.
The recent Supreme Court decision regarding firearms is most troubling.  In the Bill Of Rights, Amendment II it states:
A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.

The purpose of the Second Amendment is clear… the people must be able to keep themselves free from their Government (or invading powers) and, should armed insurrection be necessary, we are able to use firearms to accomplish this goal.
Democrats seem rather unconcerned that the Right to Bear Arms is a fundamental right alongside freedom of speech and the press, religious freedom, unreasonable searches and seizures, as well as the right to a trial by jury.

    Liberal writer David Ignatius writes:
My biggest worry with Monday's Supreme Court decision is that by ruling, in effect, that every American can apply for a gun license, the justices will make gun ownership much more pervasive in a society that already has too many guns.

Liberals in Chicago were not pleased with the razor thin ruling against their "gun grabber" laws:

Washington's murder rate has plummeted — falling by 25 percent in 2009 alone. This compares with a national drop of only 7 percent last year. And D.C.'s drop has continued this year.

This falling crime rate is happening when the economy is also worsening… in fact nationwide gun sales are up and crime is down.  Could it be that if a criminal thinks their next victim might be armed they think twice before committing a crime???
The Supreme Court narrowly re-affirmed what all true Americans already knew… that firearm ownership is a fundamental right guaranteed by our Bill of Rights.

If your against gun ownership in America, I would suggest moving to another Country and see how they are forced to live without being able to protect themselves and their families.
If you don't like the Constitution AS IS. Then all you need to do is leave.
I'm mean really. Just leave Most of us actually care about our freedom here in the U.S.A.

KUHNER: Obama the destroyer

President Obama is subverting the Supreme Court. His latest pick for the high court, Solicitor General Elena Kagan, is a radical leftist who would rubber-stamp Mr. Obama's transformative socialist agenda. She is not an independent, serious nominee, but an Obama ideological clone.

The Supreme Court is the nation's highest legal body. It represents the apex of a separate branch of government designed to serve as a pivotal check and balance against the executive and legislative branches. A functioning democracy based on the rule of law depends upon an independent judiciary - especially, a Supreme Court immune from the corrosive grasp of political power.

This is why dictators and socialist autocrats often seek to control their nations' supreme courts: By imposing their will on the high court they can bend the nation's judiciary to submit to their rule
Ms. Kagan is unfit to sit on the high court
She is also a staunch supporter of European-style "hate speech" laws

Free speech versus kids and violent video games

clipped from news.yahoo.com

WASHINGTON – The Supreme Court will decide whether free speech rights are more important than helping parents keep violent material away from children.

The justices agreed Monday to consider reinstating California's ban on the sale or rental of violent video games to minors, a law the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in San Francisco threw out last year on grounds that it violated minors' constitutional rights.

California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger, who signed the law in 2005, said he was pleased the high court would review the appeals court decision. He said, "We have a responsibility to our kids and our communities to protect against the effects of games that depict ultra-violent actions, just as we already do with movies."

However, the judge who wrote the decision overturning the law said at the time that there was no research showing a connection between violent video games and psychological harm to young people.

Court Refuses to Stop D.C.'s Gay Marriage Law

WASHINGTON - MARCH 03: Protesters demonstrate...Image by Getty Images via Daylife

Romans 1:24 Why God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonor their own bodies between themselves: 25 Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.

26 For this cause God gave them up to vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: 27 And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompense of their error which was meet.

28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient; 29 Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers, 30 Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, 31 Without understanding, covenant breakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful: 32 Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.

The Supreme Court on Tuesday refused to block the District of Columbia's gay marriage law, freeing the city to issue its first marriage licenses to same-sex couples the following day.

Opponents of gay marriage in the nation's capital had asked Chief Justice John Roberts to stop the city from issuing the licenses on Wednesday while they appealed. They argued that D.C. voters should have been allowed to vote on the issue. Local courts have rejected the opponents' arguments.

"It has been the practice of the court to defer to the decisions of the courts of the District of Columbia on matters of exclusively local concern," said Roberts, writing for the court.

He also pointed out that Congress could have voted to stop the city government from putting the law into effect and didn't.

Same-sex marriages are also legal in New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Iowa, Connecticut and Vermont.
