The comments are the clearest sign that the Government will give the official green light to farmers and food companies who want to supply butchers and supermarkets with the controversial products.

However, animal welfare campaigners said they were "utterly dismayed" by the ministerial statement, saying it opened the door to widespread cloning, with consumers unable to tell whether they were eating meat originating a cloned animal or not.

The statement was made by Jim Paice, the food and farming minister, in response to a written question from Zac Goldsmith, the Conservative MP.

Currently the Food Standards Agency believes that any food company attempting to sell food from not just a cloned animal – but crucially, also the offspring of a cloned animal – needs to apply for a so-called "novel food" licence.

Mr Paice pointed out that the Europe Commission interpreted the current food legislation differently from the FSA; the Commission believes the rules apply only to food from cloned animals themselves, not their offspring.

Morningland Dairy is the latest attempt by the FDA to fulfill the Healthy People 2020 objective to kill raw dairy. Morningland is owned by Joseph and Denise Dixon, who operate the cheese plant and make raw cheese from cows kept right on the property and managed by one of their eldest daughters. They have 12 children, 4 who still live at home, and they have been actively engaged in real food for decades.  They were caught up in the Rawesome Raid dragnet and many believe the questionable California Dept of Food and Agriculture tests on their cheese are the legal justification for the multi-agency guns drawn raid at Rawesome.

In the thirty years of Morningland Dairy operations NO ONE has become ill from consuming their products. Yet they have been ordered by the Missouri Milk Board to destroy ALL of their cheese without actual tests being performed on the cheese stock. This is nearly 50,000 pounds of cheese, or approximately $250,000.

Food prices push Indian inflation up to 9.9 pct

clipped from www.forbes.com MUMBAI, India -- India's inflation accelerated faster than expected to 9.9 percent in February, driven by high food prices, adding to pressure on policymakers to continue unwinding stimulus measures, government data showed Monday. Since October, when the government began reporting monthly - instead of weekly - data, headline inflation has increased nearly seven-fold. That's been driven by spiralling food prices due to drought and rising rural incomes, but it has begun to spill over into non-food areas as India's economy picks up and global commodities prices rise, putting pressure on margins of manufacturers. The Ministry of Commerce also said December inflation was 8.1 percent, not 7.3 percent as earlier estimated.

Global Food Disaster Only a Few Months Away

I wanted to re-post this to see if how it's played out so far. Many crops are still being lost as we speak. The rise in prices of other foods have seriously jump up quite a bit.

“A loaf of wheat bread or 3 loaves of barley for a day’s pay”. Three loaves of barley equal approximately one pint. This is generally regarded as a minimum sustenance diet. Therefore, this verse foreshadows a time when an entire day’s wage will barely yield enough food to survive.

Take a look at what Revelation 6 5-8 says.
When He opened the third seal, I heard the third living creature say, “Come and see.” So I looked, and behold, a black horse, and he who sat on it had a pair of scales in his hand.
And I heard a voice in the midst of the four living creatures saying, “A quart of wheat for a denarius, and three quarts of barley for a denarius; and do not harm the oil and the wine.”
When He opened the fourth seal, I heard the voice of the fourth living creature saying, “Come and see.”
