School Makes Boy Take American Flag Off Bike

Since when is it a Sin to fly an American Flag in America? America WAKE UP and fight this nonsense. This type of behavior should not be allowed in America's Schools let alone anywhere in the United States.
If you love your Freedom, we and our children have a Right to fly the American Flag anywhere and everywhere in this Country.

13-year-old Cody Alicea rides with an American flag on the back of his bike. He says he does this to be patriotic and to honor veterans, like his own grandfather, Robert. He's had the flag on his bike for two months but Monday, was asked told to take it down.
A school official at Denair Middle School told Cody some students had been complaining about the flag and it was no longer allowed on school property.
"In this country we're supposed to be free," said Cody. "And I should be able to wave my flag wherever I want to. And they're telling me I can't."
Cody's grandfather says the school was concerned about racial tensions or uprisings because of the flag. He feels if there was really a problem it should have been brought up two months ago, not during Veterans week. And if it was an issue of safety, parents should have been contacted.

In late May of 2010, Wellesley, Massachusetts public middle school students took a field trip to the Islamic Society of Boston Cultural Center - a controversial Saudi-funded mega-mosque run by the Muslim American Society of Bostn. There, the students were separated by gender and the boys were asked to join the Muslim adults in their prayer. Several of the public school boys took part.

The Summit School System: ‘Fingerprint’ scanners streamline bookkeeping, lunch lines

clipped from www.nj.com New technology is being used in the Summit Public Schools school cafeterias to streamline bookkeeping and to move students more efficiently through the “lunch line.” Cafeteria service in the Summit Public Schools is contracted to Pomptonian Food Services, which manages the cafeterias in Summit. At the high school, students swipe their student ID cards at the cafeteria’s cashier stations. The status of the students’ pre-paid cafeteria account is then accessible to the cashiers. At the middle school, students enter an assigned PIN number. Parents can pre-pay for and manage their children’s’ cafeteria accounts through their home computers. Biometric scanning devices, which read pre-scanned “algorithms” of a student’s finger tip, are being used at the elementary schools. This is allows programming of a detailed sequence of actions to perform or accomplish the recognition task for identification of the student.

Rex Roland teaches sixth grade at Enka Middle School in Candler, North Carolina.  Parent Patty Clement said Roland wrote "loser" in red ink after correcting her daughter's paper. "I went to the principal in November and complained," Clement said.  "She said she would put a stop to it." A few weeks ago, another of 11-year-old Heather Clement's graded assignment made its way home and at the top of the page was a step beyond the original -- "minus 20% for being a loser."  The word "loser" underlined twice and capitalized. Mrs. Clement called the assistant superintendent, then met with the principal and Mr. Roland.  She said Roland apologized and said it was his way of joking with students.  To Mrs. Clement, the practice is unacceptable. "Suspend him," she said.  "Make him think about what he has done -- the severity of this."
