A little more on Global Cooling.

Rain, snow and more rain fell along the Wasatch Front on Monday morning, setting a spring snow record at the airport.

The National Weather Service in Salt Lake City changed its assessment of snow accumulation at the Salt Lake International Airport from a trace to 0.2 inches just after 9 a.m. That makes Monday the latest day in Utah recorded history when a measurable amount of snow fell at the airport. A measurable amount is anything over 0.1, said meteorologist Monica Traphagan.

The previous record was on May 18, 1977, when half an inch fell, she said.

The storm that came in Sunday evening dropped almost a half an inch of rain at the Salt Lake City International Airport overnight, with more rain expected throughout the day, according to the National Weather Service.
