Top Home-School Texts Dismiss Darwin, Evolution

1 Corinthians 118 For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but to us which are saved it is the power of God.
19 For it is written, I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and will bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent.
20 Where is the wise? where is the scribe? where is the disputer of this world? has not God made foolish the wisdom of this world? 21 For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe. 22 For the Jews require a sign, and the Greeks seek after wisdom: 23 But we preach Christ crucified, to the Jews a stumbling block, and to the Greeks foolishness; 24 But to them which are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God. 25 Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men; and the weakness of God is stronger than men.

Mule's precocious daughter Elizabeth excels at science and has been studying tarantulas since she was 5. But she watched Elizabeth's excitement turn to confusion when they reached the evolution section of the book from Apologia Educational Ministries, which disputed Charles Darwin's theory.

"I thought she was going to have a coronary," Mule said of her daughter, who is now 16 and taking college courses in Houston. "She's like, 'This is not true!"'

Christian-based materials dominate a growing home-school education market that encompasses more than 1.5 million students in the U.S. And for most home-school parents, a Bible-based version of the Earth's creation is exactly what they want. Federal statistics from 2007 show 83 percent of home-schooling parents want to give their children "religious or moral instruction."

Those who don't, however, often feel isolated and frustrated from trying to find a textbook that fits their beliefs.

  1. Well, the daughter may be precocious but not enough to realize that evolution is illogical - everything has to have a beginning and a beginning with no source is illogical, so therefore there is a source.

Homeschooling curricula development and production is a business, if there was an economical requirement someone would fill it. The fact that no one has taken up the development would tell you it is not economical yet.

  2. What's even worse is the fact that a system like Darwinism is being taught to kids and universities as fact rather than just a theory now days.

This alone has caused more strife and arguments among people of all ages.
Just for the simple cause of trying to prove God don't exist.
Yet, no matter how hard they try it can never be done.
